Rambling, off topic.
This book is not actually teaching Kabbalah or the Zohar. It's /about/ them: history, why the author believes their study to be important, and a few tiny tidbits of information on the Kabbalistic cosmology. It's also /very/ repetitive. With more concise and educational tone, it might be half as long. Also, nearly half the page count is Appendices with even more snippets of historical information and ancient explanations on why kabbalah is important and very little actual kabbalah.I'm not mad that I bought it, but I am looking to other sources to be my actual introduction to study.

It's all a trick.. In a good way :D
This was a great middle point to the start of my path to learn Kabbalistic traditions. Started off reading actual fragments of The Zohar, had to put it down for a few days and in the mean time ended up here. Also it's important to note the importance of the fact that these books are actually codes soo even if you don't understand alot of it or even if you understand Most of it your higher self is working in communion with the information and the Divine behind the scenes of your mind. Good luck love and peace to all - Alex S.

Incredible
Wow I absolutely love this book! I think its good to read this book after you have read a little from one of Michael Laitmans beginner type books. I would call this book Intermediate.Im so happy i found it. I finally feel like im getting answers to questions that Torah or going to Shul never answered!.. i feel this is the real “Torah” that G-d wanted to pass down to us, its a shame this is not the wisdom we are being taught at synagogue. I intend to teach my daughter this wisdom.I have to say Michael Laitman is brilliant! Wow

A Heavy Read (Needs a Table of Contents Kindle Version)
I was baffled and confused with the Kindle Version. If you click on the Hardcover and click Look inside, you will find an actual Table of Contents.. I printed it as a guide. Until I figured out the layout, I was lost. The page numbers are only in the Hardcover book. There is a TIC in the Kindle, but the Hardcover contents was more detailed.

Deep Read
If you are looking for an intro text to assist with your studies, this book will fit the bill. It helps set the stage for understanding and conceptualizing the Zohar.

The Zohar is an extremely special book. It was ...
The Zohar is an extremely special book . It was written by a group of people that were spiritually enlightened and the stories told refer to spiritual levels and degrees, and not to everyday events. It is not a book to give us knowledge, but a book to help us feel a unity with all those who are also searching for the spiritual meaning of life. The Zohar takes its reader to a new dimension. Read it with an open heart.

Probably worth reading.
My only problem with the book is that it perpetuates the myth that the Zohar is thousands of years old. The commentary and interpretations of the text feel spot on, but it has been irrefutably established that the Zohar was composed approximately 700 years in mideval Spain, or perhaps it was Vienna. As a philosophy text, it is top shelf. As an historical volume, not so much.

Fantastic Book! Highly Recommend!
A great book written in an easy to understand way that explains the ancient hidden wisdom of the Zohar and Kabbalah, and how to achieve spiritual reality. The original Zohar is said to be a book that is filled with spiritual light but is extremely difficult to understand. This book, Unlocking the Zohar, makes it easy to access the hidden knowledge and the light inside of that wisdom! Highly recommend!
