I'm giving this to a friend that lost his hair from chemo and was expressing that he hates wearing hats now because it's so warm out. This hat is so light and airy and bendable and fits all size heads. Has a great velcro strip in back to tighten hat. I love that this hat can be wet and then wrung out. Great feature to give a cooling effect. I think he's going to love it. I got the navy which is a great color. Not deep deep navy but a really nice navy. I even embroidered a patch on front to make it more personalized. I know he will love it.

The BEST most comfortable hat. I have a small head and it fits my head. I also get migraines and get hot easily and this hat is so comfortable and keeps me cool. It’s high quality and super bendy.

Great cap except in White! My white one turned a yellow off white after a few uses. The cooling effect with water is excellent and the cap is easy to wash. Avoid White unless you like yellowish off white!

It’s baseball cap that does provide protection against the sun. It is very light weight. The Velcro closure is adjustable and if you set it and forget it, it will hold well. It is not intended to be a high end fashion statement but it performs its intended function.Material is a very thin nylon. Wetting it and wearing it in the sun will cause the water to evaporate so the claim about “cooling” is somewhat accurate. To be fair, any thin synthetic polyester nylon hat will do the same thing. Cotton hats don’t allow the water to evaporate quickly so you will end up wearing something akin to a wet mop on your head; if you try this with those 100% cotton hats that are given away by big companies with ugly logos you will see what I mean. The quality of my first hat was poor as there were threads and stitching digging into my bald forehead. I returned it and bought a second hat that was sewn a little straighter. My hat is white and so it doesn’t look pretty after wetting and wearing a few times. I sweat in the summer heat. Choose a darker color if you intend to wear it and get sweaty/dirty.Summary:Stitching and material is thin and lightweight but quality is not going to be anything like a real Tilly hat. Cooling with water evaporation works. Velcro holds if you don’t open and close it often. Ask yourself if you want it to stay clean. If so, I would suggest avoiding tan or white hats as you will might get sweat stains and the hat will look tattered after a few uses. Wetting and wearing it will definitely help keep you cool as the evaporation is key - it isn't rocket science. If you don’t mind the "Indiana Jones" look and want to get the same cooling effect with the protection of a wide rim, buy an (albeit expensive) Tilly.

This product is exceptional. It does exactly what I states it does, its lightweight, well fitting, well made and extremely comfortable to wear. After purchasing one, I went back andvirdeted two more!! I rarely write reviews but this hat is well worth sharing about!

I wear a hat 24/7, and I sweat a lot. I was looking for an affordable, washable hat and that’s exactly what this is. The black is jet black, but doesn’t feel too hot out in the sun. If it does get hot, “wet to cool.”In case it’s relevant to you, you can fold this hat up into the bill. The bill is stiff, but the hat part is a thin, foldable material.
