Great baby shower gift, beautiful book
I bought this book for my friend’s baby shower and we were all super impressed by how aesthetically pleasing the illustrations are. It’s colorful, fun and demonstrates of a variety of different cultures. 10/10!

Hi! That tiny spot in the universe
I pick up the book today. The first page I read is Hong Kong cause I was born here. Good depiction! Since I was a child I think that Hong Kong is just a big market, whether I like it or not, and everything here is about goods and their transport. The picture reminds me how good a 'red-white-blue bag' is in representing Hong Kong. I think the author has really 'digests' the place before he writes it.This is a book of arts for adults ( I can't say for the children cause I am not one) It touches more than it teaches. It reminds me of how much I love the place where I live.I dislike encyclopedic. The title 'Everything and Everywhere' deters me from buying the book even for children. I first met the book's earlier Chinese version 'Lots' in Muji (children book section) It's a pity that people, especially marketing people think that illustrated books are just for children.I like the book's cover, trying to put everything and everywhere there, and I come up with this review's headline.

This book is awesome
I collect children’s books for my son’s library and he is *obsessed* with atlas books and maps. If you’re into Maps (the children’s book), This Is How We Do It, or any of the Atlas of Adventures series, this book is a natural addition filled with amazing, beautiful art and engaging humorous captions and facts. I’m glad to have made the purchase, and I disagree with the other reviewer who claimed there were “too adult” things in this book. We live in New Orleans and see some... things... that I have to explain sometimes, and if you really are uncomfortable with your child seeing images of shisha smoking, I suggest never traveling outside of the home and avoiding all PG13 Television.

Lovely book and great for browsing
This book is lovely and whimsical. I bought it purely because I love the art and love having beautiful books for my kids to peruse. We are Americans living in Japan, so we especially appreciated the Japan pages - they very much capture the essence of what it is like here! That gave me assurance that the rest of the book is similarly accurate. This isn’t an atlas or textbook-style resource by any means, but it captures the imagination and engages the eye.

Busy and beautiful, but not very informative
Bought this for my 5 yo as a Christmas gift. He enjoys poring over busy books and it seemed up his alley. It did not disappoint, but it's not one of his favorites either. I think the art, which is like watercolor painting, is not as engaging to him. There is not much writing in the book either, mostly just identifying what a picture is, without giving much detail. I bought this for $8 and change and, at that price point, would definitely get again or consider gifting.

Excellent intro to the world!
I travel a lot and wanted a way to briefly share some of my experiences with my great-nieces. It's a really tall and wide book, with every page covered in drawings and words telling about each place. The locations included are Antarctica, Alice Springs (Australia), Hong Kong, Tokyo, Ulaahbaatar (Mongolia!), New Delhi, Moscow, Cairo, Paris, Rekjavik (Iceland), New York City, Galapagos Islands, Amazon Rainforest, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), and Cape Town (South Africa). I love that these are not just the typical tourist locations and find that I still need to go to 7 of the 15 locales!! Time to start planning my next adventure!!

A MUST BUY
This is the BEST book. A must have for families with toddlers. Our son is picking up words like a sponge and books with lots of people and things are so helpful in helping him experience the world from our home. The illustrations are unbelievably beautiful.I will admit that even if my son doesnt love this book- I'm keeping it for myself and buying this for all our family & friends.

I’m 36 and I LOVE this book!
This book is amazing!!! It doesnt really “read” per se, it’s more of a point and state type of book. The illustrations are beautiful and the locations featured are unique and informative. I bought this for my 4 month old (a little early obviously) and can’t wait to read it to him when he can really see and talk about what is in the book. Also, the book is large (remote for scale). Just buy it, you won’t regret it!
