Completely Sold on this Collar- will never buy another brand or type of collar
I have a dog aggressive Australian Cattle dog (he is fine with his housemates, just not other dogs, he was viciously attacked by a dog when he was around 1 year old ) which made walking him the absolute worst pat of my day, especially in a neighborhood full of dogs. I tried multiple collars, harnesses, gentle leaders, even the Cesar Millan Pack Leader Collar (I even have used collars and harnesses at the same time with two separate leashes in case he got out of one I had a backup)- nothing worked, he was always able to slip out of them (even the harness, still not sure how he did it), or they didn't phase him one bit. The pack Leader collar just didn't seem secure enough to me and the slip collar (really just a rope choke hidden by the rest of the collar) didn't phase him. I didn't want a choke chain or pinch chain- he is already aggressive last thing I need is for people to see metal chain around his neck to make him look even worse. So I researched and kept coming up with Martingale collars. I chose If It Barks because of the reviews and the fact that it is wider (1.5 in vs 3/8th in. or 1 in) which I thought would be a bit gentler on my dog's throat. After the first walk I was completely sold. I have no fear he will be able to escape from this collar and even though he still gets really riled up when passing another dog that barks at him, the width of this collar keeps his neck safe, and everyone else, including other dogs safe from harm.Just the other day we were walking and a black lab came out of nowhere (off leash) right up to my dog and even though he tried to lunge and get to the lab, he went nowhere and was unable to get out of this collar (I'm lucky the lab was not aggressive at all and just stood there calmly). Then further into the walk, a neighbor was walking his little furball dog on leash and it started barking and yapping, my dog again tried to get to this dog, but nope- no chance. This collar REALLY is a life saver for my dog, and other dogs.

The only collar you will ever need.
This is the second If it Barks collar I have purchased for my dogs. I have been through other brands of collars and NOTHING compares to these! The collar is very durable, easy to adjust, lies nice on my dogs and the hardware is durable. I have a 75 pound husky and a German Shepard puppy, both pull hard while walking. These adjust perfectly while walking. I will never purchase another brand of collar. Seller follow up is impeccable.

Just buy it. You'll be happy you did.
Hands down, best collar out there. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. I bought this collar when my dog outgrew his last choker. I noticed an immediate difference in the way he responds while walking on a leash. When I'm away my parents watch my dog for me. They both noticed the improvement as well. So much, in fact, that they just bought the same collar for their dog, too!An added bonus is how great the collar looks. Rarely, fashion meets function in this department. Sacrificing awesomeness for practicality. But this collar delivers beautiful, vibrant colors AND works better than any others I've ever purchased. If you're on the edge, let me push you off. Just buy it. You'll be happy you did.

The collar is really cute and the fabric is nice BUT I bought this martingale collar for my Dobe
The collar is really cute and the fabric is nice BUT I bought this martingale collar for my Dobe. The metal is the junk metal that almost all collars are made of these days. It broke in less than a month. Disappointed because it was really cute and washable. Why hasn't anyone realized you buy a martingale to control a dog and it needs good heavy duty metal, not pot metal with high stress points for fatigue. Finding a martingale with good metal is almost impossible these days. If they upgraded the metal I would buy this again.

I love it!
I have the black and light blue one in size medium. I have a 45 lb cow dog mix. I love it!! This is a really beautifully made (in the USA by a small company!), attractive, sturdy collar. I really appreciate that the thickness doesn't choke, but let's you gently control the dog. We jokingly call this his "dressy" collar (Haha) meaning we use this one on his daily walks and while at home. We use another collar (that is mangled from his rough wrestling) at doggy day camp. This collar is super preppy and classy looking which I love! Makes us laugh because it's so handsome on him. If you think this collar seems a little pricey, think no more; it's worth every penny! You won't regret it!

Great product but go up a size if you are on the bubble!
Love the quality of this. Feels and looks very well made. The colors are very bright! Just a note about the sizing. This says up to 15", I measured my dogs neck (with room) to need exactly 15". I chose the small because I didn't want there to be a lot of extra material on the medium. Well, it barely went over his ears, I could tell it would go on but would be too tight and worried I wouldn't be able to get it back off without hurting his ears so I didn't push it. Kinda bummed I need to exchange it. I would definitely recommend going up a size if you are on the bubble.

Highly recommend.
Fantastic collar for leash training. This one is recommended by our dog training facility. It's great because, unlike the chain choker, it is not going to crush the dogs larynx. We have used a harness which was also good but allowed our 80# Labrador Retriever to really throw his chest into a lunge. This collar prevents that. It is sturdy and of excellent quality. I highly recommend it. This brand is made in the USA and when I say excellent quality and workmanship ... I do mean excellent. Actually, we have 2 large dogs and we ordered one for each. No regrets here! Great seller.

Good for Dogs who have plenty of fur.
It is a very pretty collar, but too stiff for a dog that has fine hair. After a while, because it is not lined with a softer material, it started to rub her skin and the hair began to be rubbed off. So we got her a very nice velvet collar from Crown Collars that are more for greyhounds that was silk lined and it is soft on her skin. The one ordered here is still pretty, so I may line it myself and than she can wear it some. A good collar for a dog that is not sensitive my my little greyhound.
