Perfect printing surface, and no coasters!!
Look I have been burning DVD discs for a very long time. It has been about 12 years now, if my memory is correct. I just bought my first Blu Ray Burner. I got an LG WH16NS40 Super Multi Blue Internal SATA 16x Blu-ray Disc writer. I paid a whopping $62.00 and some change. It came with nothing. No cables, screws, instructions, no anything. It is an OEM drive that was brand new. I have always bought DVD drives the same way. Most people have a hole in their system, that they will stick these into anyway, you don't need to pay for those hardware pieces, and you can always get your manual on the net. But I digress. I have burned over I guess, 10000 DVDs, and I have always had a nice self built computer. I know what the heck I am doing. I was extremely pleased to have burned all 10 with absolutely no problem. My computer is my last Core I7, before I switch to, and build a Core I9 computer sometime very soon. It helps to have something that can handle burning, encoding, and re encoding discs for copying protected BDs. I have never been one to use the high end discs, because I just don't have to. I have 32 gigs of RAM, and that is just plenty. The bottom line is these discs are, in my opinion, great. I have ordered another 3 cake boxes of ten, and I am looking forward to getting them. The printing surface is very smooth. Almost like glass, and your images will love that fact. I have no intention of getting some high price discs like Verbatim. Take it from me, these work great, and won't bust your budget.

Pleasant Surprise
It seems the quality of 50 GB blu-ray discs has slipped a bit these days. I've used many brands over the years and the latest outcome is that the entire (both layers) disc may burn (Imgburn) but will not play back over the layer break. Using the verify feature results in one or more read errors at the half way point of whatever you're recording. Not so with these discs (so far). These discs are identified (Imgburn) as RITEK D03-000 which is not a new disc mfg. Other suppliers of RITEK D03's might be sourcing from another manufacturer but it looks like PlexDisc is still using the Taiwan plant and these are working as you would expect; just fine.

Bad discs
Bad discs. I tried to burn several movies (6) and none of them play properly. Half of them auto play in the PS3 and are just black with no sound and none of the controls do anything. The other half skip and are pixelated. I’ve tried burning at 1X and that didn’t help. Don’t buy these.

Appears to be good blank media so far.
I use these blank discs to save and playback 1080 & 2160 video that I have captured from various sources. I have only burnt one so far but it was a successful burn and it passed the verification process in ImgBurn (PC burning program) along with playback on my Panasonic UHD disc player. The previous brand discs I bought, only 1 of 10 (out of a pack of 25) have passed the verification process and playback in my disc player. Only time will tell how the rest of the 10 pack go. I am hoping for success. If the rest are successful, I may have found a new go to brand for BDR-DL discs. Some info regarding these discs for those interested: Media ID: RITEK-DR3-000 They are of the High To Low (HTL) variety. The top surface is white from the inner to outer rim for those of you that have printers that can print to these discs. I do not and I just use a permanent marker to identify what is on the disc. The permanent marker, so far, does not seem to affect the readability of the disc. The discs have a bit of a funky smell upon opening the package. At least the batch that I received did. Perhaps it will go away over time as I burn and store each one.

Great Value For The Money!
I was looking for some Blu-Ray discs to record some home video on and came across these. I needed a dual-layer disc because I had over three hours of footage and didn't want to have to use two discs. They have worked very well so far and have not had any go bad in the burn process so far. They are more expensive than single layer but it was what I needed. I would also recommend some Blu-Ray cases. Amazon sells those as well!

High Quality Blank Blu-ray Discs
I have been restoring some old short films I made years ago. I'm still a believer in physical media as an archival backup. These Plexdisc blank Blu-ray Discs fit the bill. Using an old DVD/Blu-ray authoring software program by Vegas Video and a recent ASUS Blu-ray burner, the Plexdisc Blu-ray discs burned pretty quickly. Playback on both my Sony and Sanyo Blu-ray players showed high quality video presentations, despite the source material being low resolution (i.e. VHS and 8mm video). As a test, I burned footage shot in full 4K at 24fps and these discs maintained the video quality. One would never guess that the footage was down converted to high definition resolution. The sound quality is also maintained. I burn my discs at 24-bit and I was pleased that the sound was excellent (depending on the original source material).

I bough these while in a pinch, after doing some careful research, because I could not find equivalent dual-layer Verbatim discs at a reasonable price. So far, I'm pleasantly surprised. Every disc burned - at the lowest possible speeds! - can be read flawlessly by multiple standalone players and computer drives. It remains to be seen whether they will degrade over time, like other cheap brands, but for the moment I'm cautiously optimistic.

Got these to copy custom movies and data backups. So far, no coasters though I've not been able to find a decently priced printer to try printing on the disc surface.
