Is it ok to wash with softener? I know some nice fibre cloths shouldn’t be washed with comfort/Lenor etc.

Hi, I never use Comfort/ Lenor! I just use my normal laundry liquid and they dry as soft as new.

How do you wash make up off this cloth? Do you put them in a washing machine?

I just wash mine with some soap and water and leave to dry. I haven't tried it in a washing machine though.

Would this work on face paint?

I would say yes, but I haven’t tried with face paint, but you will need more than one cloth. The package contains two cloths, so you can try. I have removed heavy make up with no problem and mascara also (although it takes more time as my mascara is heavy water proof). These cloths are really good.
