The Evolution Bait Knife features a 4" blade with a serrated back for cutting through bone and bait. Premium Stainless Steel Blade and molded plastic handle hold up to the tough saltwater enviornment. Breathable sheath allows for quick drying when the knife is stored. In addition the line cutter wedge on the sheath allows for the cutting of line without removing the sheath.

Not a chance, this is junk.
First, if I have to sharpen it out of the box because it wont cut hot butter, its a bust... but for $3, we'll look past that.Second, extremely uneven grind on the blade, to the tune of about 2.5mm one side and 4.5mm on the other.Third, Serrations are all but useless, they will probably cut hemp rope but not nylon.Fourth, the line cutter is literally worthless, would not cut a licorice rope. No edge to it what-so-ever.Fifth, well, a $1 steak knife would serve better than this.Sixth, for a few bucks more, you can get the American Angler 4" knife which is double in size, quadruple in sharpness and a million times better value (made by Ginsu after all). Included a pic to show the difference. Angler came razor sharp, gut-hook is ground from both sides, and handle is WOW... I'm ordering two more of those immediately, and one will be my new skinning knife, they're incredible.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001F0IAB0/ref=od_aui_detailpages01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Nice knife, but scabbard needs redesigned.
The knife is a little smaller than I thought it would be. Very sharp made very short work of some mullet I was using for cut bait. Cut thru the scales and bone with little effort. Held its edge very well even after 2 strait days of fishing and cutting pounds of bait. My only complaint is the way the scabbard locks onto the knife, if your hands a wet or slimy it can be a little difficult to get off, and the lock is on the blade side of the knife, if you were to slip while trying to unlock it, there is a good possibility you could cut your finger.

Bought this for my fiancé for Christmas and it broke ...
Bought this for my fiancé for Christmas and it broke before he could even use it! The sheath to the knife broke, rendering it a hazard to have on the boat. We bought a Mustad filet knife instead and it does the job well!!

For the money, you really can't touch it.
I use this knife for fishing in the surf and bay around Galveston, TX. Spend some time with a whetstone when you get it in the mail because it certainly doesn't come sharp. Holds a decent edge, though. Works well for fishing stuff, cutting bait, gutting fish, etc. Doesn't slip around in the hand. It's not the benchmade or the mako or whatever, but it's a fine knife.

Fisherman’s best friend.
Knife works great. Sharp, easy to use, take out and store. Must have for any tackle box. I bought the FSU colors for my wife, since she’s a Seminole.

Great knife. Don't drop it in water.
Knife is good just wish it had a better cover. If yours starts to wear out the blade sometimes will go through the blade cover and cut you. Make sure your careful with the knife it's mad sharp if they did it right when they send it. Sometimes it's very dull. Great buy just wish it floated since the handles thick and solid.
