This book is a must have if you ever ask yourself the question "how do I do that again". This book has served as a great reference to me, and helped me learn a couple of concepts that I had not taken into account when programming. This book serves its purpose as a great supplement to any PLC programmers reference repertoire.

This book is invaluable. I purchased this book as I began diving into the world of PLC programming, and it contained everything I needed to get started. The author goes through the trouble of explaining the fundamental computing and mechanical elements of PLC systems in order to illustrate the overarching operation of a system. There is history, detail, and tons of examples and illustrations to guide the reader. The book is written in a clear, no-nonsense manner that is accessible to readers who, like me, don't have an electrical background. I highly recommend this book!
