Totes InBrella - Reverse Close Umbrella

I bought this umbrella back in 2023, and it’s still kicking!! I have been super loyal to this umbrella. It has been used in heavy rain, snow, and drizzly windy days and it has survived them all over the last THREE years! It is pretty light and easy to carry. It definitely holds up well on windy days; so no more getting my hair wet! I would say the material is pretty sturdy and durable, and the umbrella doesn’t really flip upside down when using it on windy days. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! PS I’m ordering a new one after three years, only because, I forgot mine at my workplace and won’t be able to retrieve until 5 days later, and we are expecting rain over the next few days 😭

I purchased this in anticipation for my move to a coastal area. I was told the winds can be strong and it rains often in my area so I should invest in a strong, high-quality umbrella. After three and a half months of coastal living, I feel like I've developed a pretty good Pros and Cons list. Pro: - Matches every outfit - Can withstand 25mph winds and NOT flip inside out (unlike my roommates cheap Wal-Mart umbrella) - Easy to see the cyclists who almost run into you (Because it's clear!) - Really pretty to watch the rainfall and not get it in your eyes - People look at you in amazement when it reverse opens - It makes a great self-defence weapon in a pinch Con: - Just a little too small, when I walk without any bags it's perfect but when I have my bookbag it gets soaked - Can't use it to hide your face when you trip and fall into a massive puddle (Again, because it's clear) - Can withstand 25mph winds by catching the wind and pulling you backwards 10 feet down the sidewalk I love my umbrella! It's definitely worth the money (and that's coming from a broke college kid). I had to walk to work in a tropical storm with 25mph + winds and it held together perfectly! My only warning is that because it's so strong, it'll sometimes catch the wind and, if you're short and small like I am, It'll yank you backwards a few good feet, but it won't flip inside out!

After using mostly free giveaway umbrellas that were about as junky as you might imagine, we finally invested in two of these Totes brand umbrellas. They are a nice size and much higher quality - I don't see this one turning inside out and blowing away in a storm. I don't care much about how it looks (it's just keeping me dry) but I do like the colors and patterns they offer. The first one we ordered came in great condition, but this second one came with one of the connections disconnected. So just check all the spokes and make sure they are attached. Also, be careful with the button or else it will close right on your head :)

My favorite umbrella! The only downside is when it’s not currently raining I do wish it was easier to hold and more compact, but it’s worth the trade off. Extremely easy to open and to close even if I just have one hand available. I love the cloud design and get so many compliments on that. The umbrella is very strong as well, can stand up to winds and protect me during storms. I’ve been using it for almost a year now, so long lasting too. Will definitely buy again next time I need a new umbrella.

Didn’t think I would love the way this works but I do! I have an older umbrella and it pops open, this one pops closed! At first I thought it was strange, but then when it was pouring rain and getting in your car, you’re sitting in your car, you push button and it pops closed and you can quickly close your door and stay dry! Brilliant!

Love the fun colors of the rain drops on this umbrella. I have had Totes brand for a long time, I have an older wood handle one and a small compact automatic one but I wanted to get the reverse one to keep from getting wet when getting in the car. It works just as advertised and I know with Totes the umbrella will last a long time. It is a push up to open and the button only releases the lever so you can close it down but that’s okay for me at least. It feels very sturdy and the handle is a comfortable grip and feel. My one complaint is they use paper stickers so that was a bit of a frustration getting those off the handle but otherwise it’s great!!! I’ll probably even use it when it snows here since it does eliminate the rush of water when you close a normal umbrella while getting in the car.

Update*** We had our 1st real storm in SoCal last week and it was windy and raining hard. The umbrella did flip inside out when a gust blew. My daughter was soaked! This umbrella is good for light rain and calm winds. I really like this umbrella. I have used it 3 times and have stayed dry and avoided a puddle of water from leaking in my car. I only wish it was larger in size. I had my 1 year old in my arms, and didn't feel like we had enough coverage. It hasn't been really windy and rainy, so I'm not sure how it will hold up against the wind.

Been wanting a reverse close umbrella in clear material for a long time. I only love clear umbrella's as I like to be able to see where I'm walking while also being protected from the rain. This is a pretty sturdy umbrella so far.

Se habrá al revés entonces no hay problemas de que se rompa al cerrarla, es transparente cómo se muestr en la imagen y es de buena calidad. Llevo varios meses utilizándola lo único que he notado es que el plástico se ha tornado un poco amarillo con el uso, pero sigue siendo transparente.

Original and replacement umbrella both turned up with rips, looks nice so a massive shame I had to return both
