Giro Caden Adult Urban Bike Helmet

Excellent helmet. My head is 56 cm and more oval than round, and Medium is a great fit but without much to spare. Very modern looking high visibility (I went for neon yellow) protection. I had to go to the OEM (Giro) website for better product info and sizing chart.Update December 28, 2020: I’ve ridden ~1000 miles in helmet comfort. Many drivers and walkers have commented on the great visibility of my yellow helmet. The visor has been unexpectedly useful in the Southern California sunStill 5-stars for the Caden, but now with real world testing! I crashed my e-bike and apparently (because I can’t recall the actual impact) impacted the asphalt just at the left front vent, breaking the helmet. Dents indicate a rolling impact that also dented the sides and back of the helmet. See pics. But my head and neck are fine, thus 5 stars....10 stars, if I could. Things could have gone a lot worse.Please wear a helmet, and for my money, always a MIPS helmet. I’ve already ordered my helmet’s replacement...another Caden!

Love it fits good. I have a pretty big head and the large is plenty big I feel I have to tighten the spiny thing all the way.

A leg injury forced me to take a long hiatus from cycling. That changed recently with the purchase of an E bike. Along with the new E bike, I figured my old melon deserved a new helmet . ( Old people don't bounce so well.) However, I wanted something with a good adjustable fit and lower dork factor. This one seemed to fit the bill and I decided to give it a try. What I like:- I really like the comfort and the fact that I can adjust the fit to my (59 1/2cm) head to accommodate changes in hair length, temp, riding conditions etc. The helmet feels like it was custom made for me.- I like the look. It has some ventilation but doesn't look like a woven, neon pretzel balancing n top of my head. I didn't want lights or reflectors either as I will never ride at night and already have that covered on the bike. The CADEN seems like a cross between a bike helmet and a 1/2 shell motorcycle helmet.-I like the potential for safety. Given it's quality name brand, "just right" head coverage and integrated MIPS system, I have confidence it will do what it's designed to do should I ever need it.-I like the removable ball cap style visor. It's cloth seems to absorb glare and is just long enough to be effective.- I like that it doesn't interfere with getting glasses on and off.What could be improved:-I wish the logo buckle and adjustment knob weren't neon orange. The look of this helmet would have paired well with more muted (grey or black) hardware. These features just seem out of place on a flat black/low key helmet.- The strap buckle is a little small and hard to get open. It takes a strong focused squeeze to release it. All in all, I am a very happy with the CADEN and plan to wear it regularly while riding.

Decided to purchase a new helmet after years of service from Bell. Found this helmet which offered that continued urban look. Little did I know the difference in fit. This helmet feels good. Comfort, style, and protection! The helmet was great out of the box...midway through my ride, didn’t even know I had it on! Coverage was certainly expansive! Only dislike, there is some open space behind the ears but the MIPS system does not seem compromised. There is no wobble but not sure how impact will be affected if there is a fall. Overall, great fit and urban look.

Easily, completely adjustable. Comfortable, doesn't reduce sound or visibility.

I ride off road trails almost exclusively. This is a very comfortable and practical helmet. Size fits as expected. I purchased the mat-black. Looks good - some helmets look ridiculously big or sit unnecessarily high on your head. This helmet is sized well for its construction and cushioning.

This is my first bike helmet so I really didn't have any expectations. I choose the green color as I wanted to have more visibility while I'm biking to be safer. The helmet fits me very well and is super comfortable. Sometimes I hardly realize that I'm wearing a helmet. It's also MIPS which makes me feel more assured as well. It has adequate ventilation holes that helps disperse the heat and also allows you to lock the helmet with your bike with a chain lock if you wanted to. Overall very satisfied with this purchase.

If your head has a length greater than 62inch, this doesn’t fit.
