Securit Heavy Duty Galvanised Brenton Sliding Padbolt 150mm

Be prepared for a massive lockable tower bolt that looks up to the job. It comes with screws and four square-headed bolts, two each for the bolt carrier and the keep plate. The bolts are 4.5cm long and would useful for a shed, where it isn't possible to access the nuts. For a gate I used 1.5 inch security screws, covering the square holes with washers. Watch the sizing; the "150 mm" size which I purchased relates to the bolt length - the carrier plate which the bolt sits on is actually 180mm by 55mm. The keep is 70mm tall by 40mm. The holes where a padlock is fitted are around 10mm, so an 8 or 9mm padlock shackle fits fine. All in all a good piece of galvanised kit - no tinny parts to warp or corrode.

It comes with screws and bolts as fasteners but I used lifetime guaranteed decking screws. It's well designed, heavy duty, no nonsense, no surprises.

Sturdy and strong .

A good, heavy, galvanized padbolt. My gate always moves out of alignment with the weather so my previous bolt would need constant adjustment to compensate. This is a good replacement and there is more room for the bolt to slide into so adjustment is no longer necessary. It's not beautiful but it does exactly what it should do and is very strong. Highly recommend.

Really happy with the product it was for my garden gate, for a little security for my garden.

Bolt does the job but it is electrogalvanised not hot dip galvanised which would have been better.

This item was very easy to install which was important to me as I’m not the best diy person. It is strong and seems durable exactly what I want.

This has broken completely in a short time
