Split

Two of my favorite bands. Playing two songs each on a split vinyl together, with DVD footage of how they recorded it. This is heaven to me. If only they recorded 2 more songs each!

Awesome split. The Whirr tracks are better than anything on Sway, and the Nothing tracks show that they continue to be the hottest band around. It's a shame that the Nothing tracks won't be appearing on their new CD. It's best to get a high quality digital download of these, but the vinyl copy does come with the lyrics, IF you can score a vinyl copy.

Melodic and crunchylicious at the same time. I listen to this EP over and over. A must have for anyone with a musical clue.

Limited edition colored vinyl EP from two of the heaviest and most stimulating shoegaze bands in the business, who share the same guitarist (Nick Bassett). San Francisco band Whirr released the excellent “Sway” album earlier this year. Here, they deliver two beautiful blasts of distorted shoegaze melody with a yearning rumble of hypnotic power that recalls bands like Swervedriver, Cheatahs, Stagnant Pools, My Bloody Valentine. Philadelphia band Nothing released the stunning album “Guilty of Everything” earlier this year. On this EP, they lay out massive melodic walls of devastatingly poignant, ripping shoegaze guitar metal that both elevates and crushes. Think My Bloody Valentine meets Jesu, or Whirr/Cheatahs meets Alice in Chains. The EP includes an etched ‘B’ side and a full-length 'In The Studio' documentary DVD, plus some of the best music released this year. Absolutely brilliant!

All 4 songs are truly incredible...heavy, melodic, beautiful...I can't stop listening to it. Mine came on green/blue/creme splattered vinyl.

Love it. Bought this on the back of Nothing's incredible album last year, and this does not disappoint.
