Plastic parts that will fail with a little too much pressure, poor customer support
I used this product once last year and it worked well. At the time I followed all instructions and thoroughly washed my unit before storage.I needed to use the sprayer again and the product was not working correctly. The unit was failing to pick up any of the chemical 90% of the time. Upon further inspection, the tip was a little loose and basically fell off. The other half of the tip was still lodged in the unit, preventing any others from being used.I researched the issue and found that a replacement "metering tip holder" would fix my issue and emailed customer support asking for a replacement part. After waiting around NINE days for a response, I was emailed by someone from their "sales" email with a "sales" title sending me a video on a possible fix and if not, how I could purchase replacement parts for "about $15".I attempted the fix which appears to have further damaged the piece. I again asked that they send me the part which looks like it costs about $1 for them to make and was denied, this time the quote did change to $7.66 after shipping. Apparently this $100 sprayer has absolutely no markup and the company runs on razor thin margins.I feel like the design of this unit lacks if this piece breaks easily, and 'basically' prevents you from using it again. The company knows this 'defect' and even makes a stainless steel version, but will not send you a cheap plastic replacement piece if it happens to fail. So I paid around $100 thinking I was buying a quality product and got more use out of one of the regular $10-15 throwaway sprayers that are on the market. I would not recommend this product or company.

quality
I tried several well-known hose sprayers and they were all garbage. This sprayer is the ONLY one that works like it is supposed to work.

The best in class
Good things aren't cheap and cheap things aren't good. I struggled to find a good sprayer with lots of adjustability. This is the best that money can buy.

Blue Mule Spray-All 20B: Low-Volume Hose-End Chemical Sprayer
The Blue Mule Spray-All 20B Low-Volume Hose-End Chemical Sprayer is probably the last hose end sprayer you will ever need to buy. The design is simple, the build quality is excellent and the few parts that might wear out are available from Blue Mule or are common generic parts. One reviewer experienced the garden hose threads on the plastic pistol grip shut off nozzle stripping. The solution is to replace the pistol grip unit for $10 from Blue Mule or getting an all metal unit from the hardware store for the same price. The fact that pistol grip and the quick disconnect fitting are available through Blue Mule or can be replaced with generic parts is a major feature of this sprayer. Even the rubber seal in the quick disconnect fitting is available from Blue Mule. The changeable screw-in orifice design to vary the concentration of the final spray mixture is fool proof and the published dilution rate was accurate for the one I selected. If you care enough about your lawn and garden to be spraying it with fungicide, pesticide, herbicide and fertilizer you owe it to yourself to stop wasting your time and effort on the $13 made in China molded plastic junk sprayers that are available at the hardware stores and buy this Blue Mule sprayer.Additional information. March, 2020After using the sprayer a few times, I experienced some problems and found solutions for them with the help from Blue Mule customer service:There isn't a vent hole in the lid of the bowl so a vacuum develops as fluid is siphoned out and fairly quickly no fluid from the bowl is being removed. My solution to this problem is to screw the bowl on tight and then back off about half a turn to let air in which seems to solve the problem. There isn't a strainer filter on the intake tube inside the bowl so I filter all of the liquid that goes in it with a reusable filter from a coffee maker (Cuisinart model GTF) sitting in a large funnel on top of the bowl. I also cut two notches in the bottom edge of the flexible intake tube (one on the right side and one on the left side) to allow fluid to enter even if the tube end is pressed up against the bottom of the bowl by the siphoning suction. The intake tube is generic 1/4 inch inside diameter flexible vinyl hose from the hardware store so don't worry about modifying it.I use the dark green colored metering orifice for all of my spraying. The specification lists the dilution ratio of this orifice at 22:1 where I measured it by collecting 51 fl. oz sprayer output (not planned out in advance) in a plastic container which removed 2.5 fl. oz. of water from the bowl. This gives a dilution ration of 20:1. So 16 fl. oz. of chemical from the bowl will make about 2.5 gallons of final spray which will cover about 450 square feet of lawn or small weeds when applied at a fairly brisk pace. I put enough chemical in the bowl to do 450 square feet and then dilute it with water to make 16 fl. oz. TOTAL fluid in the bowl.
