Jumbo Case
I received the case in good time and in new condition. Like many other people have commented on other sites, the inside has an unpleasant odor. Smells like Playdoe. Hopefully it will go away with time. My Gretsch jumbo rancher acoustic fits nicely in the case. It seems like a strong case. I wouldnt use it for touring. But for general hauling around, its fine. One other gripe i have is it does not have a locking latch which allows anyone to mess with your guitar when your not around. Take that back, it has provisions for a small padlock to be put on the middle latch. The hardware holding the handle on looks questionable? Its not a lightweight case. Its made from wood but as long as it isnt exposed to extreme conditions it should last a while. The price was fair at one bill. Update: I am downgrading this review from four stars to two stars because the smell has not gone away. They need to find a new type of glue that doesnt continue to smell bad months, maybe years after it is built. No more TKL cases unless they work out this problem.

Permanent solution for a foul smelling case!
I recently bought a TKL 8824 guitar case (not from Amazon) which would be very similar to this one except that it is built to fit a Les Paul Junior Special. The primary reason that I am writing this review is to let people know that there is a solution to what some would consider a very serious problem on first receiving their case. When I received mine, it looked beautiful, felt sturdy, and fit perfectly, but upon first opening it, I was hit with a very strong and foul smelling odor that made me think of returning it immediately. Yes, it was that bad.Right away I notified the company that I purchased it from (Elderly Instruments) and, kudos to them, I got an immediate response. It is extremely difficult to find a case that is custom fit for a Les Paul Junior so it was very important that I find a solution to this problem because I definitely could not keep the case the way it was. Well, it turns out that the problem (as others have stated) is the glue that is used to glue the lining on. Reading through all the information that I could find on the forums, however, no one seemed to have a definite solution to the problem. Well, there is now! What happens is that the cases get sent out from the factory before the glue fully cures. The glue is still not fully dry and therefore emits strong fumes that will not go away for a very long time unless the effort is made to fully cure the glue immediately. Here is what I had to do. I opened the case, which included propping up the compartment lid (with a chopstick), and I placed the open case in front of a very warm radiant heater in a small room. The case needs to get as much warm air as it can (without burning it!) Here is the kicker.... it takes about two to three weeks of continuous drying for the smell to dissipate enough for it to become tolerable! The case now still has a faint odor but it is completely tolerable and, in fact, almost pleasant smelling. I'm going to sweeten it up a bit more by placing a sachet of my favorite tea leaves (bourbon tea, oh yeah!) into the case indefinitely. Now it'll be a complete pleasure to open that case and automatically compel me to brew a cup of tea or smoke a pipe while I'm playing my guitar! LOL!Seriously, you won't need to return your case. It's hard enough trying to find one that fits an LP Junior Special in the first place. I hope this helps and good luck! Write me if you have any questions.

Sturdy, with some open questions
The case is generally well-made and *very* heavy. It will fit many, but not all jumbos - some may be slightly too thick. Note that the case does not have an arch top.Pros:*Covering seems durable*Very solid wood*Latches meet and work fineCons:*As another reviewer has noted, the smell is there. It smells like Play-Doh. TKL should not be sending out cases with perpetual smell*The big reason I give the case 3 stars and not 4 stars is that the interior is not very plush. It is a very thin grey faux fur with no padding - seems to be glued directly onto the wood inside the case. I cannot for the life of me understand why TKL would make an otherwise nice case and not notice that the interior is garbage.I paid a little less than 90 for mine in Sept 2013. That is probably the right price point for this, and would be a value on a quality product if not for the smell and the thin interior. Compared to my Gator jumbo case, the TKL is heavier, perhaps slightly sturdier, and has a much less plush interior.

Beautiful
I bought this case cus I knew it'd be moving around alot at college and back home, and not only is it solid and durable but also has a very nice interior. My Ibanez has a large body and it fit perfectly and the storage compartment is cool as well. I have had 0 problems with this case and would buy another if I could.
