Plus Pen 3000 Felt Tip Pens, Fine Point (0.4mm), Coloring/Drawing/Journaling, Assorted Colors, 24-Pack

These markers are great, very sharp tip (at least to start) and shade well. I wouldn’t color a big section with them as I don’t know how long they’d last but for writing and doodling they’re great. This listing is for the updated design of the outside, the colors are the same as other 60-pen sets. However I am delighted I was sent the version that comes in the rectangular storage tin, not the round tin - bonus! I had almost purchased the set on eBay direct from Korea in order to get that tin, glad I didn’t! If only there were a way to purchase the 12 other colors that are out there…I’m not enough of a completionist though to purchase the 72-pen set in addition to this one. Love that there is a color card in the tin and that both it and the markers have the colors in English along with their number.

These pens are lovely! They're very fine tip but have a lot of different line weights they can achieve. You can get super thin lines to thicker calligraphy lines. The ink dries the minute you put it on the paper, but can be activated with water, which can be kind of a cool watercolor effect. The pens are really cute and I love the packaging! Really clean and convenient, even comes with a swatch paper for you to use :) (mine got a little wet so the ink feathered a bit, oops) Overall, I think these pens have a great color selection and the nicest packaging! If you want small calligraphy pens then these are definitely a good buy. Perfect for writing or outlining drawings (after the ink or paint is put on first). I outlined the strawberry with these pens, though its a little hard to tell. But they work really nice for that! Would recommend :)

I figure it would be easier to write one review comparing all of them. Triplus Fineliner(30): Out of the bunch these have the smoothest application and I enjoy using them the most. You don't have to worry about ruining the paper if you go over the same spot a couple times. You can actually fill up a decent size area without it being streaky like you'd expect with most of these products. It's unfortunate they chose so many muted/ dark colors (12/30 to be exact) and they are the most expensive. Bleed? Little to moderate Stabilo(30): Wide range of bright colors at a decent price. I find myself reaching for these more than steadtler because of the colors although they have a harder tip and can be scratchy, it would be hard to fill a decent size area but good for precision. Bleed? Moderate Pentel(36): Got these to fill in bigger spaces as they're cheaper than the steadtler colour pens and stabilo 68 pens. For the price they're ok. I love all the colors but really hate using them. They feather, can't be used for precision, and tear up the paper pretty fast. It's almost impossible to get even coverage as well. I'm not sure how much use I'll get out of them, pretty bummed overall. Bleed? Yes Monami(24): I love these things. They're CHEAP!, colorful, and bright- but not good for big areas. The tip is hard to explain, think maybe like Papermate Flairs except finer, great for details that can be hard to get with the other fineliners. They're actually good for writing as well(I buy the packs of black for note taking). It's smoother than the pentel felt tip but will still tear up the paper and can give streaky coverage (some colors more than others) if you aren't careful. Note- they sometimes "sputter" when brand new. Not a lot though and it subsides quickly. Bleed? Little to none!

As stated in the title - this pen set is attractive, well packaged and aesthetically pleasing. However, after testing all of the different pens on various types of paper I have come to two conclusions - 1) the color assortment is very strange and 2) these are great pens for writing / journaling / planning etc. but they would be terrible to try to color with due to the fineness of the tip as well as the low ink saturation. So a few details to mention - this set seems to lack many shades of green - there are a many blueish / reddish / orangeish / yellowish hues but for green it all seems to be "yellow green" or "blue green" (green is my favorite color so I think I would find this aspect more annoying than most). There are also 5+ pens that are so "neon" that they are unreadable on white paper - however - since they are ink pens and not gel they don't show up on dark papers either so I do not understand what the point of those colors is. You cant highlight with a point that fine and honestly I cannot think of any coloring application where you would want a SUPER neon SUPER unreadable yellow or orange. Overall the shopping and purchasing experience for this product was top notch - I am not sure how I feel about the pens - I think I would need to use them more to determine an accurate rating - that being said I really liked the way that they felt in my hand and they seem sturdy. I would purchase again from this seller for sure!

After a disappointing experience with Sharpie fineliners, I went on the hunt for better quality and more color variety and landed on some Staedtler pens. But as I read through reviews and looked at pics that other customers had uploaded, I landed on some comments about these Monami pens. The colors were as rich (if not even more pigmented) than the Steadtler and Stabilo pens I'd been looking at, and these had more positive comments for writing than the others did. Not to mention that these Monami pens were MUCH less expensive than the others. I use these pens to mark events in a big planner I use to manage schedules for my work organization, and having various easily-visible colors is a must. They're comfortable to hold, have only a couple of pens that are really too light for writing (but would probably be great for art), and the ink dries quickly, so it doesn't smear. I like these so much that I think I need to buy a pack of black pens from Monami, just for everyday writing!

Thèse pens are nice and pigmentéd, but the tips are à little thin and scratchy for my liking. I'm aware I've left this item 5 stars, the reason being that it is great quality, just not 'my' personal taste. The listing also indicated à 'fine' tip, but I was curieuse 😬

At first I didn't like those so much, but after practicing calligraphy for several I came back to them… they are actually awesome little pen, just need a little practice ;)
