Smaller than expected
Diameter when filled seems smaller than expected. Tough film, you can really pack these without busting them. Makes a great pepperoni sized sausage.

Works well
Used this to make sausages (what a shock!) And it works really well.You need to soak, but only for a couple of minutes.Easy to fill (with meat grinder with filling tube) and doesn't break while under pressure of filling.After cooking, the casing isn't as soft as a natural casing, but it is ok.The casing doesn't taste of anything so it doesn't mar the taste of the contents, but it is a bit chewy.

False representation!!
ABSOLUTELY DOESN’T look ANYTHING like the pics shown!!!Unknown as of yet how good the product actually.., end of review still coming!! But definitely disappointed in pic to actual product!!!

They're not 5cm in diameter!
The bigger sausage on the left side is the casting from a different seller and it is labeled as 5cm. These, I purchased, were supposed to be 5cm. They are more like size 2.5 cm. They are not strong enough either. The sausages came out softer than usual, because I couldn't stuff them better. Very disappointed!

Could be a little larger in diameter.
I was very pleased with this product. I made five pounds of sausage without any blowouts, which I have always encountered with similar products. There at no instructions with the casings but they do require a dip in water before use. Enjoyed some of the bratwurst I made today and the casing is totally edible and quite tender.

Naivety or cunning?
Another trick of sellers is the invention of the concept of "flat diameter", which describes the width of the shell in a flat state. But in the description they modestly remove the word - flat. As a result, the REAL DIAMETER of the sausage in such a casing is significantly smaller than stated. The price of this casing is lower. The buyer, naturally, choosing the right size, buys a cheaper one and gets something other than what he wanted. I fell for this trick. Therefore, I warn you about it. For objectivity, I will add that the quality is not bad.
