Sylvia Day Crossfire Series 4-Volume Boxed Set: Bared to You/Reflected in You/Entwined with You/Captivated by You

One of my favourite series of this genre. Honestly, it was my second step into the world of a true adult romance (I admit, Fifty Shades was first - BUT - Crossfire is the BEST:) I loved that Sylvia Day was also strongly inspired by another series I absolutely adore - the In Death Series by J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts) - BTW, if you loved Crossfire, you should definitely try In Death Series - Sylvia Day also recommends it in her dedication to Nora Roberts in Reflected in You:) But back to THIS story... I adore Gideon and Eva. I absolutely love their dynamic, their interactions and the way they put each other first - above anything else. And it is amazing that they are both so complex, that their pasts were so difficult – but that they were able to overcome it and find each other. Yes, I have a huge crush on Gideon. Who wouldn't? I love this type - especially that, at the beginning, in Bared to you, I thought he was a complete jerk. And then - what a change (of my perception, mostly ;) - show me a woman who wouldn't like to be loved as much as Gideon loves Eva! xD And, I love Eva. I love that she can be vulnerable, fierce, and that she always cares so much. In my opinion, these two are true soul mates, or even a one person, but in two ;) Oh, and this story is sooo deliciously juicy, sexy and exciting, I can't forget about that!!! :D In Fifty Shades, the sexy times mostly... amused me. Here... oh, the temperature definitely gets a lot higher xD What I definitely recommend is to read the books as a whole, one after the other. I had to wait for the part four and five, and the waiting was a pure agony ;) Now that I have my paperback versions in English, I can recommend them to my sister (the Polish translation is good, but the original version is MUCH BETTER) – and I recommend to all to read the original, English versions. Sylvia Day can make magic with her words, that’s for sure! ;) I will definitely get back to this series many times in the future. Twenty out of ten for the lovers of juicy, sexy adult romances ;)

I have loved reading the first three books in this series. Before starting on this book i read the reviews and was worried i wouldn't like it. However, I decided to follow the series through each h book. I just finished it and have to say it's one of my favorite books in this series! I loved Gideon 's POV especially. It really helped me understand how motivation behind his actions. Plus, I really feel that through all the crap that keeps coming their direction they have had to fight harder to stay together, which is making them work through the negatives faults of both of them. I found myself crying with them, laughing with them and rooting for them! That's what true love is: never giving up, especially when the going gets tough! Please read this book!!

I have to say I did love it, I also found myself comparing it to the fifty shades of grey series.. I love both stories.. my only complaint is @ the end of One With You, you are left wondering so many things. Ex. Was Cary the father of Tat's baby (did she actually go thru w/ pregnancy) did Cary end up happy with trey.. did Eva & Gideon finally get true happiness and even have a family.. did Brett finally see the light and go away for real .. did Eva end up getting to a place she could help ppl that had went thru trams like she did and did she end up working side by side with Gideon .. I did enjoy this series but it's ending left so many ?'s and my only frustration with the way Sylvia Day writes she tends to repeat herself in every book going back and going over something already gone over and she really dragged these books out when it kinda wasn't needed. I do wish she had Eva & Gideon go thru with there 2nd wedding with family with her in her dress, would totally recommend this series to friends.

This series was recommended to me by several people and this is a review of books 1-4 of this series. I will be honest and say this is not my usual trope; I'm more of an angst free book lover. The amount of angst in this series is unbelievable. I had a hard time with that but at the same time I admired the writing ability of the author. This story focuses on the relationships of people who have been sexually assaulted at a young age and the long-lasting effects to them and their support system. I learned a lot from this book and I was glad to see the healing that was done by these characters throughout the series. This book is also very sexually explicit but don't worry it's all consensual between adults.

Good condition. Oh my goodness these are the best reads!!! Exactly the right amount of sex and romance. Sylvia Day knows how to write a great story. Buy the books!!!

Seriously loved this series! I couldn't put it down! Fantastic read... brilliantly written! I am usually very fussy but this series had me from chapter 1. Don't think about it.... read it! You won't regret it

c'est drôle, sexy, passionné, complexe. ça donne envie de mettre de la jolie lingerie et d'être "inventif". ça se lit facilement et très rapidement si on est pris dans l'histoire (ce qui fut mon cas). j'ai tout lu en quelques jours. maintenant j'attends avec impatience la publication du dernier volume One With You. je dirais que c'est préférable de le lire après FSG et Beautiful Bastard ce qui permet au lecteur de rencontrer des personnages de plus en plus complexes et/ou intéressants au fur et à mesure des lectures. et vraiment, Eva et Gideon ont des personnalités bien plus riches que Ana et Christian (ce qui ne m’empêchera pas de re-relire FSG). si vous le pouvez, lisez en VO. on améliore considérablement notre vocabulaire ; notamment en anatomie mais sans avoir à ouvrir de bouquin médical ...
