for me this is the best over the counter retinol product. I try many, I still own many. But this one the, works as described. I'm aware this may not work for some, where they might find something else that works better. I still feel, everyone should try this at least once, a whole tube worth once. my experience, wasn't amazing I didn't see results the morning after using this. It was gradual things I noticed. like how under my my lip, if you stick your tongue down behind your lower and it pushes it out, I'd notice tiny white bumps, like too much keratin build up around the hair follicles. That's gone now, It feels some and bump free, because it is. It helped fill in a few fine lines around my eyes, and mouth. didn't completely get rid of them, but I noticed those areas looked fuller, And it didn't take as much movement to pull the skin taught and smooth (we all do it, lifting the skin on the cheeks to see how much our skin has fallen). Years ago in my early 20s (I'm 40 now), I had Angular Cheilitis so bad it left deep scars next to both corners of my mouth, (the left one being a lot deeper then the right, but still a pretty deep scar). the right one is completely gone now, barely a hint that there was a scar ever there, the left one I can still see but it's much much less deep now. That's what this retinol cream did. Fairly certain is also lessened some chicken pox marks on my face (I got that when I was 15, and left a few scars behind) skin texture improved overall. Because it's gradual I feel I didn't notice, I compared and older photo to a newer photo randomly one day, and that's when I noticed it. Its so gradual that you have time to get use to any improvements, which in turn made me think their were none. lets be real, unless you're hired as a tester and it's your job almost no one takes a photo the day they start something to compare to another photo 30 days later. Life gets in the way and we forget. I love the scent also, it's subtle and reminds me of roses on a warm breezy day, the smell drifting in through an open window. The cream itself spreads easily on the face, a pea sized amount was always enough to cover my whole face. sometimes I'd add a tiny bit more to the areas I thought were more problematic or needed a little extra help. Of all the creams, and serums and ampoules, and exfoliants I've forced my face to suffer through for the sake of beauty, this little tube did so much good. It never dried my face out, or breakouts/pimples, or peeling. it just helped lessen wrinkles, and remove /lessen some scars and left my face feeling so soft and bouncy. It's time again to buy some more, at first I used it for 6 months straight, I know buy 2 tubes a year and use it more as upkeep rather then a "fix my face now" cream, it already did that.

This is a very honest review of several Roc retinol products starting with this serum. I deliberately waited a good amount of time to write this. It’s now been approximately 4.5 months since I started using this product as the FIRST retinol product ever. I will be 48 in about 5 weeks. My intent with Roc products was to use them to see how my skin responds to retinoids and to slowly build up tolerance to them before moving to a stronger retinoid. That’s what this product and other Roc retinol products have delivered! I will say that it turned out that my skin responds well to retinoids - I have never had sensitive or dry skin. What I do have are genetic under eye circles and bags and allergies that puff my whole eyes up. So now at 48 that is the area I have most issues with. I started using this product at night, then I added the retinol capsules at night and used this in the morning and I am also using the retinol eye cream by Roc and the firming serum stick (these two I am continuing to use now that I have switched to a more potent retinoid product). This may seem like a lot of products but again the goal was to build up tolerance. So 4.5 months in these are my results: my skin is overall firmer, that’s the biggest difference. Some of the very tiny sunspots are faded and my skin seems to have a little bit more elasticity. The irritation was mild, I do moisturize a lot and again, my skin is not sensitive. I do however know that for more significant improvements I need a stronger retinoid. So as of a few days ago I have started transitioning to retinAL, a more potent retinoid. Another reason for this is that retinAL can be used around the whole eye area. My transition is going flawlessly and I credit Roc retinol products including this serum for that! If you have fewer wrinkles and or are younger than these products may be enough for you, btw, it’s just not so in my case. So I will keep using the eye cream with addition of another one and the firming stick, because they are really nice. In conclusion, Roc products are great for initial introduction to retinoids, or for younger users and they will provide some improvements with consistent use. I would most definitely recommend all of the ones I mentioned here for those two purposes!

This was my first Retinol product. RoC has great reviews, so I thought it would help my older, skin-damaged face & neck. I used it religiously every night. Didn't have to build up a tolerance to it. After using the whole bottle, for me, it was disappointing. Pros: It made my face softer. It is lightweight and goes on easily. Very good quality. The pump works great. Cons: No signs of wrinkle repair. Didn't help with age spots. It helped my skin get "used to" Retinol, so I could move up to the next level. Conclusion: If I had used this when I was younger, I believe it would have helped me to avoid wrinkles and keep the skin smooth. At this point, I guess my skin is too far gone, or the wrong type, to benefit from a small percentage of Retinol. So, I've moved up to 1% Retinol in a different brand. Three days into the 1%, I could see my skin reacting to the Retinol!

I have been using this product for a month & the end result is a Miracle. After applying it on my jowl & saggy cheeckbone, just in two days, my jowl & saggy cheeckbone has improved. Now, I don't have an ugly jowl & saggy cheeckbone, my face is plumper than before. I SWEAR by this product. Previously, I spent $120 for a beauty product that promotes the disappearance of jowl & saggy cheeckbone but IT DID NOT WORK! So thank you RoC for making me beautiful again.

El producto es bueno si es la primera vez que vas a usar retinol. Pero para tener los efectos del retinol, tienes que saber aplicar estas cremas. Por nada del mundo lo pongas cerca de los ojos ni las comisuras de la boca, el retinol solo se pone en la frente, las mejillas y el menton. Debes aplicar poca cantidad y poner solo en la noche. Se empieza aplicando una noche a la semana, y la siguiente semana dos noches y asi progresivamente. Primero va tu crema humectante, luego el retinol y otra vez crema humectante, y no lo combines con otros acidos. Por favor aprende a ponerte el retinol para que no te dañes la cara, suerte!
