They really work! I bought 3 colors for easy color coding in my wine storage!
They totally work! low profile is key...i have some really cute bottle stoppers but they are all tall so won't fit in the fridge door and definitely won't prevent leaks if the bottle is stored on its side. These are cute too, jsut a touch of metallic in the gold. I ordered the red and black caps too. A little OCD peeking out...I like to keep stuff color coded. ANd these caps can go over most unopened wine bottles, so using them to clearly mark my bottles of wine, easy to see which bottles are red (red cap), white (black cap) or rose (gold cap!).These caps would also be a great addition to a hostess gift with a bottle of wine, pick a fun color and put it in a little bag, tied to the bottle or just pop it on the bottle when you hand the gift over.Made out of silicone, these caps would work great for anything stored in a bottle that is roughly the size of a wine bottle...oils, arts and craft supplies like glue. I suspect they could be useful little things around the house!

Wine cap works better than a cork!
I like wine. A lot. There, I've said it. But....it seems it isn't a good idea to drink an entire bottle, so I was looking for something besides the cork to pop back into the unfinished wine, I've used a few different things, but they would leak or stain or break or just look cheap. I found these bad boys and really like them so far. They are attractive (what?...so I'm vain) fit well and work! This was a 4-pack, kinda handy since I usually have a few bottles open (you need a white, a rose this time of year and a red!). I have one on my red that sits upright on the counter. The true test was using it on my chardonnay which lives in the fridge. Holy heck...no leaking! Whoop--i was able to put the bottle on its side and the wine behaved itself and stayed where it belongs. I often bring a bottle of wine when I got to someone's house for dinner, but these might be a nice change. Everyone brings wine, but a little wine helper might be fun.
