Based on the mixed bag of reviews regarding the sizing of this item, I placed my order thinking that there would be a 50/50 chance I might have to alter the size of my ironing board along the lines of the fix described in one of the other reviews (in the event the cover was not long enough, the fix requires shortening the nose of the ironing board using a jigsaw). I ordered the product in willow. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to fit the cover on my ironing board with a reasonable amount of effort. Our ironing board is at the outer limits of the dimensions described in the product literature. Unlike some of the other reviewers, the cover fit nicely on a 42 1/4 ironing board. Perhaps the issue was addressed at some point? Regardless, my experience with the pad and cover is great. Both appear to be high-quality and should do the job for several years to come. I do not know the brand of our in wall ironing board. My best guess is that it is a Home Essentials product, purchased approximately 17 years ago at a big box lumberyard retailer.

Needed this small ironing cover pad for my antique step stool/ironing board. Absolutely love it!!!! Highly recommend. Padding is not thick at all but the size was perfect fit.super thin no padding but may purchase a heat resistant pad to put under cover.

Looks like a well made product; very thick so another layer of batting isn't needed. However, when I read "bungee cord binding" I'm thinking it has a cord that can be adjusted to make it fit snug all around. Actually, the binding just encases elastic. Seems pretty sturdy but I will have to attach some ties or Velcro straps to get it to fit tighter with no wrinkles. Other than that, it seems pretty durable.

EASY REPLACEMENT FOR IRONING BOARDLOVE BUILT IN BOARD.

I should have paid attention to the one star reviews because every single one of them said the same thing I am going to say -- this does not fit a standard stowaway ironing board. My ironing board measures the same as the dimensions on this packaging but the actual cover is at least two to three inches too short. The only reason I am giving it one star is two reasons: one because it will not let me rate no stars and because the price was reasonable enough that it did not bother me that much to throw it in the garbage which I did.
