Manhunt is the real life story of how the murder of French National, Amelie Delagrange, on Twickenham Green in August 2004 was eventually linked to the murders of Marsha McDonnell in 2003 and the abduction and murder of Milly Dowler as she travelled home from school in 2002.Walking home following a night out with friends, 22 years old Amelie was savagely attacked and struck several times on the back of the head with a hammer. Although relatively experienced in murder investigation, DCI Sutton was assigned to the case by London's Metropolitan Police. Hard working and instinctive, Sutton dedicated himself to finding Amelie's killer. Great fun to see and recognize some of my old stomping grounds and where my father was stationed (West Drayton USAF base). Amazing that this was a true story and what excellent detective work to solve these murders.

Good story.
Good story butI found it hard to get used to Martin Clunes in the role he played. I feel he makes a more convincing impact as Doc Martin!

Interesting how they solve cold cases
This one was of particular interest to me as I grew up in that area of London (Southwest). Great fun to see and recognize some of my old stomping grounds and where my father was stationed (West Drayton USAF base). Amazing that this was a true story and what excellent detective work to solve these murders.

This is an outstanding series starring the very credible & versatile Martin Clunes as DCI Sutton & an incredible supporting cast. A true story of - I will not spoil the story but of how A man & his team steadfastly investigated & got their man. DCI Colin Sutton is an outstanding investigator. Not interested in being a star and playing with the toys of being in a senior position but just doing his job methodically & intelligently, with sensitivity & caring toward the victims & their families. These types of outstanding senior Police ''soldiers'' should receive the highest praise & commendation for their service to the community & their ability to show such competence. It will be a sad loss to the MET Police Force when these officers retire, as I am certain this man has by now. He would make a great mentor for future officers in a teaching capacity if not full time, then part time. I cannot recommend it more highly except to say I was much impressed not just by this series but also by series 2 THE NIGHT STALKER".

Martin Clunes is wonderfully subtle as the SIO in this true story from 15 years ago. Had to binge watch because it's so well done. Excellent seller, as always. Item arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

This film is excellent, well made and acted. I had never been much of a Martin Clunes fan before seeing Manhunt, but he is outstanding in this part I think. Have watched it several times now.

Martin Clunes proves to be a versatile actor who plays a passionate and persistent DCI in this series in an excellent way. It is clearly shown that CCTV can contribute to solving a crime. Precisely because it is based on a true story based research, makes the series more than worth watching. The DVD is of good quality and is highly recommended for fans of this genre.
