Better than the powder
It does work. I usually can only root a cutting in plain water, they always rot in dry soil or absolutely won't grow roots for some reason.I have used powdered rooting hormone with a about 50/50 success rate years back. I have recently been completely unsuccessful in propagating succulent leaves & stems with the powdered hormone, now with this gel, every one of them have rooted and usually within days. FYI the moonstone leaves, immediately dip in the gel, stand up right in damp sphagum moss (loose not packed) do not let them callous first (my experience anyways).I have also got the strings of dolphins, bananas, pearls and ruby necklace to grow roots from a little fat leaf within a few days, prior to this gel I had to drop an entire stem in water and wait a few weeks for roots.I have not noticed this having any sort of smell, it is a small container but your not supposed to make the rooting end look like a q-tip. I probably have over 50 leaves/stems currently sprouting and still have over half of this little container.

Better than the rest.
If your looking to clone cannabis look no further. Better than clonex by far. I've been growing for years and this is my go to. Tried all kinds of different cloning gels and powders including hormex number 8, this works way better. A little pricy but well worth it.

Works, but the quantity doesn’t add up to the price tag
It actually works quickly , I applied it to several bare nodes on a couple of different plants and within a week I saw steady new growth. The price is definitely too expensive for the tiny amount you get , and it smells really musty and gross. I would not repurchase due to the price, even though it is effective.

Colored gel like stuff works good
Arrived full in large amount should last a while.Note when using this product: Please removed as much as needed to keep the rest clean for next time it is needed. What makes the color of the gel seems to suggest a mystery ingredient.

No Results Yet In Roots, But We Have Growth!
Had a jungle mint monstera mid-cutting that wasn't doing well, it's roots rotted in the shipping process. I tried treating it in diluted hydrogen peroxide to save the remaining roots, but they ended up all rotting away within a few daysAnyway, I got the plant on 9/10 and by 9/19 all the roots were completely rotted and slid off the stem with minimal force. I'm unsure how much of this damage was my fault, vs the packaging, vs it being a midcutting which apparently doesn't do well anyway in comparison to top cuttings. I normally propagate in water, but because it already had rot I worried about it surviving water propagation.I have zero experience rooting in moss, but I set up a moss bin and I had put some of this gel on the stem where roots should come from. So far it's been a week and I have no roots still, however I do have this growth point which is finally emerging! Which means the rot didn't take too much of the plant!I'm really hoping this gel helps or at least I hope the plant roots regardless of the gel. I'll update my post eventually.I don't know if I should try reapplying the gel or not though, but I'm probably going to avoid reapplying

Doesn’t work
Didn’t work at all, wasted clones on this.

The best option for rerooting recently shipped plants.
This has turned out to be my favorite rooting gel hormone I have yet used. Gel isn't always the best option for all situations but when you need a gel this is the one I recommend now. This isn't just a rooting hormone it also has a B vitamin in it. The added B vitamin is exactly why I like to use this to reroot plants that have been shipped bare root. It helps them recover and start growing new roots much faster than if left to their own devices. I buy a lot of plants online so I've racked up a lot of experience using this brand rooting gel and it performs the best out of the many ones I've tried. When receiving a newly shipped bare root plant the first thing I do is waste the roots gently with some water. Then dry them off slightly so they're not soaking wet. Then I use a popsicle stick to apply a thing layer of the gel over all the plants roots. Then I place the plant in the pot with only damp soil. I don't water it yet, you don't want to wash away the gel you just put on the roots. I leave the plant like that for about two days to let the gel absorb into the roots. Then I can do the first watering.I've used this on all kinds of plants from your common nursery succulents to expensive Cyphostemmas' worth thousands of dollars. If I could buy it by the barrel I would.
