Poor design
The pin vise has 4 components, the hollow metal tube body; the collet (in this case, double-sided), which is essentially a smaller metal tube that tapers at both ends, and is inserted into the tube/body and has the 4 prongs that tighten against a drill bit to grasp it; the binding nut that is placed over the collet, and is screwed onto the body (with the nose of the collet sticking through it), pushing the collet's 4 prongs together as it is screwed on/tightened; and the swivel piece on the back of the pin vise's body that just spins, making one-handed drilling easier. The problem:The binding nut never reaches maximum tension against the collet's nose when tightening, allowing you to continue screwing/tightening the binding nut way past the taper of the collet and onto the middle of the collet's body. So when you unscrew the binding nut, the collet is lodged in the binding nut, so you must completely unscrew the binding nut off of the body of the pin vise so you can pull the lodged collet out of it (and retrieve your drill bit from the collet, too). I have to use 2 pliers to grasp both the collet and binding nut to pull the lodged collet out. Also, since the binding nut never reaches a stopping (tightest) point against the collet, the collet never grasps the drill bit tight enough, so enough force against the bit when drilling causes the bit to turn within the collet, and thus not drilling into whatever you're trying to drill into. This happens regardless of the size of bit used, and on both sides of both of the double-sided collets (a secondary collet is stored in the body). The collets are also made from weak metal, so they bend out of shape easily.Either the binding nut's nose hole needs to be a smaller diameter, or the collet must taper into a larger diameter body, so the binding nut reaches a point at which the collet is too thick for the nut to continue screwing down over it (a maximum tightness point).

This works perfect but there's one small tip
This works perfect but there's one small tip. Take the tightening collar off and flip the inner part around. The way it comes won't tightend enough to hold the smaller bits but flipping it around reveals a smaller grip.

Works great. Need to unscrew collet and flip the black grip for the smaller bits.
