Good tool, think it's going to be around for a long time
It's the right size, good value for the money to get something that has some Weight to it, shows durability over the years of using it that it'll hold up. I'd get some of the rubber faced work gloves to help with Grip too, just something I like to do. The Ease of use is just as good as any other.

Estwing
Good bar, very versatile, has a contour in the center offering a better grip not just flat, the 15in. is a good all around length usually works 8n most situations.

Light and sturdy.
Sharp and thin on the working edges. Best in class as far as I can tell. Been a carpenter since 15 years old, 40 now, best flatbar I've come across.

Done right, with style
This is is a quality tool. It's made of quality steel and well engineered with a cord shape to stiffen the spine. It's very strong for its weight. Is it completely indestructible, like Wonder Woman's bracelets? Can it be broken? It's well designed, solid steel, but some fool could probably manage to break it, I'm sure. They've given it a nice enamel paint job with what looks like flaked painter's aluminum in it, to add some style. If you're going to cruise the strip for chicks with just one flat bar for bling, this is the flat bar to get. Estwing is an American company (Hoo-rah) and this tool was manufactured in Taiwan; it even says so all big and proud, stamped right on the tool. Main point: IT WAS NOT MADE IN COMMUNIST CHINA. This tool is a good value, it does the intended job perfectly and it will almost certainly outlast you. Not bad for the price. Power to real Americans, the free people of Taiwan and free people everywhere.

Not made in USA!!
I have always bought Estwing because, first of all they make a darn good product and they are made (were) in the USA. They still make a couple of the items in the US but a lot of their production is being sent over to Taiwan. It is stil a great product and would have given it a 5 if it was still made in the US like they still want people to belive.

More on made in Taiwan
As several of the reviews have mentioned, this tool is made in Taiwan, which is the next best thing to being made in the USA or Germany. Taiwan products have always been of flawless fit and finish for me, even nicer that USA products, which excel mainly in metallurgy. I am in Japan and had trouble finding a decent machinist clamp kit, since most of the stuff now is made in China of sintered powdered metal that is pressure cast, not true alloy steel (the same for all the machine vises). I tried an outrageously priced TE-CO kit made in the USA. Yes, it was alloy steel but the finish was so spotty I returned the >$400 product. I then tried a Trusco product (only available in Japan), since a lot of their tools are made in Taiwan. Sure enough, for $180 U.S. with the exchange rate, it was Jackpot! Genuine alloy steel that was properly hardened and quenched (you can hear the 'ting ting' when you bang the pieces together). The threads on the studs were cut perfectly, and the black oxide finish on each piece was uniform. Yep, the clamp kit was made in Taiwan :-) Unfortunately, finding products made in Taiwan these days is difficult. Koshihara in Japan is a good bet, as well as Trusco.
