No Hair Pull, Long Lasting, and Plenty of Stretch
The media could not be loaded. First a note about pronunciation: I say "scrun-chee" and everyone I know says "scrun-chee." However, if you look at how this product is spelled, it seems to be that we should all be calling them "scun-sees," which is a big difference. But no matter how you pronounce it, these are the most recognizable and well-known hair bands. We've been buying them for years (and they're the only ones my wife will use) for one main reason: they don't pull out and rip at your hair! Bands with metal or exposed elastic simply end up tearing out your hair, and who grows out their hair only to destroy it with a scrunchi/scunci?Note that this is a multipack assortment, meaning that you get some thicker ones and some thinner ones -- though they're all black. It's also not unusual to get a few duds in a pack of these, which I show you an example of in my video. By "dud" I simply mean that some scuncis don't have much stretch to them. So it turns out that not all scuncis are created equally. But most are identical and work well, which is why they're so perfect.Yes, scuncis do break with use (over time), and they sometimes lose their elasticity. But a pack like this will last my wife over a year -- and she's a daily scuncis user. In fact, I never see her without one in her hair or around her wrist, just in case she needs one.In my opinion, these are so great because they're a perfect combination of minimal design mixed with maximum usefulness. They simply get the job of holding up a ponytail or bun without wrecking the hair, and that's all anyone has ever asked of a scunci..................This product was NOT given to me as part of any promotion. I bought it after doing some comparison shopping and this review is entirely the result of my own opinions and use of the product.

Comfy, durable once you get to know them
These are a staple in my household. I always have them. Always. Some live in my bathroom, on the gear shift in my car, in my teen daughters backpack, in my kitchen drawers ... you get the idea. Both my daughter and I have long hair She’s 17, with blonde hair below her waist that’s super long but fairly thin white girl hair. Mine is dark brown, mid back. fairly thick Latina hair. We both love these. Here’s why:Assorted thicknessesPain free / Don’t pull out hairCan wear comfortably on wrist (thin ones)Last forever *IF* you don’t overstretchGreat value / low price for quantityIf you’re switching from another brand, there is an adjustment. Don’t over stretch these or they will break. For my hair, these can be wrapped around my ponytail twice, maybe three times if I’m super duper careful. With the thin ones, this means I’ll have a loose ponytail that might need to be redone during the day, which is fine for me if I’m running errands, fine for my daughter during rehearsals. The thick ones, while still going around just twice, provide reliable hold when needed. As long as you know this up front, they won’t all break as other reviewers have noted. Recap: Don’t wrap more than twice. The thin ones are our daily use scrunchy - super easy to grab and throw your hair up. They hold hair without pulling, so they’re pain free. These are thin enough to wear around your wrist without cutting off circulation. The thick ones are far more sturdy and we use these when hair MUST stay in place, eg stage performances or serious hairstyles for fancy events. The thick ones are NOT comfortable to wear on the wrist; these will cut off circulation to your hand. But the tick ones are super sturdy for serious hair needs. I wore two of the thick ones for a side sweeping up-do I wore for a recent wedding ... held perfectly for 10 hours and lots of dancing. For both the thin and thick ones, wrapping your ponytail more than twice runs the risk of breaking. So be careful. But you can double up if needed ... wrap two of the tick ones twice around my hair, and my ponytail would survive a windstorm. One pack of these will last FOREVER. Yes, of course there is inevitable breakage with regular use. But these come 36 to a pack ... that’s a LOT of use. I buy one of these for our stockings each Christmas (one for daughter, one for me) and we have enough to pretty much last the entire year!! Yes, my house, purse, car, and life are sprinkled with these particular hair bands. But - for the price, quality, quantity - I wouldn’t buy any other brand.

They all love it. I used to go to my local ...
These are my go to hair ties. They are durable and consistent. I have bought about 3 of these and I plan to continuously do so. In fact, I have even given some away to my mom, friends, sisters, and so on. They all love it. I used to go to my local drugstore to buy the cheapest, but decent quality hair ties. Long story short, they were all horrible for my hair. I have medium-thinnish hair and these are perfect for me. My friends have very thick and thin hair, so if you have that hair texture, I would recommend you buying this product immediately.I like working out, whether that be by weight lifting or just running. Throughout it all, these hair ties haven't slipped once. I keep about 3 on my wrist, just in case my friends or someone I know needs one. Or if I just don't want my hair getting in the way. My hair is super long and very annoying and will fly everywhere. The hair ties do keep their shape. Around my wrist, they look like they're suffocating it, however, that is okay. Taking them off my wrist, they in perfect condition. They shrink back to the way they were packaged, which is what I like. Even after I put my hair up for hours, and I take the hair ties off, they just go back into normal shape. My only problem with these hair ties is that they do break like all hair ties. I put my hair up after I shower. My hair is a bit wet, so they do expand due to that, which is why I have multiple hair ties for separate reasons. After about 3-4 weeks they'll expand so much, that there is a thread of it coming from the tie itself. Then it'll snap. But that is okay since each one of my shower ties lasts about 4ish weeks. To conclude, just buy these. They're perfect, they are durable and consistent.
