Hilarious spoof of James Bond-like movies
A kid who flunked French class in high school can graduate only by going on a field trip to France with the French teacher and working on his studies there. But thanks to his name matching the cover name of a top secret agent, the British thinks he is the spy and he gets involved in stopping a conspiracy to take over the European Union money supply. It works both as a spoof and a spy movie!

Glad I could find this movie!
I loved this movie when I was younger. I was happy to find it and watch it again. It was in perfect condition. Thanks.

A charmingly underrated Bond-esque spy comedy!
Mainly a star vehicle for then up and coming "21 Jump Street" and "Booker" actor Richard Grieco, this charming spy spoof sends up the Bond franchise in comedy form! The movie's plot benefits tremendously from Oscar-winning scene stealer Linda Hunt as a Lotte Lenya inspired villain!!Grieco is a bit of a stretch as a high schooler on a club trip mistaken for an American agent in the French countryside!! With Gabrielle Anwar as the love interest and other fun performances from Roger Rees and Robin Bartlett, another scene stealer as '"The French Teacher"!A silly, fun filled romp!!

Cute!
Seen this years ago and decided I needed to own the movie. Great fantasy story of a failing high school kid mistaken for an international spy.

Revisiting our youth
While not a great movie, it is definitely a fun one of its time. No issues with the DVD. Played flawlessly in our PS3 (what we've used as a DVD player for a decade+).

Good Service
Good Movie. No, great movie it's just as good as it was in 1991. There's action all throughout the movie. And good service. The movie came in on time and in good condition.

“Who is the French Teacher?”
This 1991 comedy spy adventure follows the exploits of Eighteen-year-old slacker Michael Corben (Richard Grieco) who cannot graduate without a French credit. His one hope is to join the French Club in France. Needless to say things go awry and he is mistaken for the CIA’s top man en route to save Europe from a dastardly evil plot of domination.A madcap mix of ‘Spy Kids’ meets with ‘James Bond’ or more accurately ‘Johnny English’. The clever script is fast paced and often so stupid it’s hilariously funny in places as Corben eventually realises the threats around him are all so real. The support from Gabrielle Anwar is superb, Roger Daltry [of the Who] makes a fine fleeting cameo but it’s the diminutive Linda Hunt who steals the show as the evil whip-cracking henchwoman Isa Grunt. This no frills disc may be silly and predictable, but it doesn't stop it being fun –just don’t think too much, slip into neutral and just go along for the ride and you won’t be disappointed, but there are some mature themes and comic style violence so the PG rating is appropriate for family ***** viewing.
