Best Krill!
I had been using ARIIX Krill. I'm a memeber of ConsumerLab, and saw VIVA Krill rated as excellent, with fewer additives. I wrote to VIVA, and here is what was sent back:"Hi Ron,ARIIX is a fish oil product combined with coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). CoQ10 is naturally produced in the body and serves as an energy reserve for the heart and brain. Alternatively, Viva Labs Krill Oil is derived from Antarctic krill and contains no additional ingredients. Krill oil has been clinically shown to be three times more powerful than fish oil because the omega-3’s are bound to phospholipids, the identical structure found in human cells. The omega-3’s in fish oil are bound to triglycerides, which are less efficiently converted in to phospholipids. The unique structure of krill oil is what allows the omega-3’s to cross the blood brain barrier, allowing for the transfer of nutrients between the blood and the brain. Additionally, krill oil contains the powerful antioxidant astaxanthin, which is one of the world’s most valuable naturally-occurring antioxidants."Our krill oil product contains the highest amount of omega-3’s, astaxanthin and phospholipids per serving, as compared to any other krill oil on the market. Our krill oil is uniquely encapsulated utilizing a patented technology known as Capliques, which prevents leakage and unwanted fishy odor. We use a fish gelatin capsule to suit the needs of vegetarians, which makes our krill oil free from any animal products or by-products. Most often fish oil servings can include up to four softgels per day, whereas our recommended daily serving includes two small, and easy-to-swallow capsules.I hope that this information has been helpful, if you have any other questions please do let us know. Sincerely, Vivian Viva Labs Customer Care".Krill oil is claimed to provide the following benefits. The frequency and degree of benefits depend on MANY factors. There is sufficiebnt evidence to show Krill Oil (and VIVA being a fine supplier) CAN, in studies HAS:Neutralizes free radicalsLowers bad cholesterol/triglyceride levels, and increases HDL (e.g. good) cholesterol levelsImproves brain healthSmooths skin and reduces wrinklesDecreases PMS-related symptomsLowers the risk of coronary heart diseaseIncreases energy and metabolismImproves joint function and eye healthWith this in mind, Viva Labs claims to harvest their krill from the pure waters of the Antarctic Ocean, and to immediately process them as soon as they’re sustainability harvested. Then, the company claims to use their "proprietary capliques"™ technique to seal in the freshness, to provide an advanced delivery system for maximum absorption, and to avoid any “fishy” smell or aftertaste. I have NO fishy after taste, nor does this product "repeat" after taking.Based on this communication, the benefits of strength and "useability" of the Krill, I've switched over and feel good about the choice.

Best Krill Oil you can buy!
The media could not be loaded. I did a lot of research into what good krill oil should comprise and compared different brands based on their nutritional content. What initially attracted me to Everest Nutrition krill oil was the dosages of pure omega-3s per serving. Some other manufacturers include omega-6s which are actually overabundant in our diets and must be balanced with extra omega-3 fats. Here are the important things one needs to look for when choosing a krill oil supplement:Concentration of omega-3 fatty acids: Everest Nutrition compares favorably with 165mg of EPA and 95mg DHA. Some other brands I looked at were Mercola: 100mg EPA, 55mg DHA, NKO: 150mg EPA, 90mg DHA, and MegaRed: 45mg EPA, 27mg DHAPhospholipids: These are absolutely crucial and a high quality krill oil supplement should contain 500mg. These are fats naturally found in our bodies, therefore absorption is more effective as the body does not need to put in the extra effort to take up and utilize the essential fatty acids. Thus, you get more benefit from what you take when there is an abundance of phospholipids. Everest Nutrition contains 500mg of phospholipids; Mercola has 400mg, NKO: 400mg, MegaRed does not list phospholipids on their label.Astaxanthin content: This powerful antioxidant gives krill oil a real advantage over fish oils. It is also expensive so only the very best brands of krill oil will have decent astaxanthin content. Everest Nutrition krill oil has the highest astaxanthin content out of all the krill oil supplements that I researched. Here is how they compare: Everest Nutiriton: 1.6mg, Mercola: 1mg, NKO: 1.5mg, Megared: contains no astaxanthin.Based on this information, I chose to purchase Everest Nutrition krill oil because of the higher ingredient content as compared to other brands, and I am so glad I did! The difference this krill oil made in my health, well-being, and quality of life is nothing like what I anticipated. It truly surpassed all my expectations and I can confidently recommend it as the best value for krill oil on the market.

Great product, worth the money!
I had originally looked into purchasing Krill Oil as a way to simply help increase my energy as I was finding myself dragging during the day. While it did give me these types of benefits, it also helped my overall health. My skin appearance is more healthy and my cholesterol has been lowered by a few points since my last doctor visit. I have also noticed that I don't have nearly the joint pain that I used to have in the knee that I had an operation on and it doesn't appear to be swollen as it has been in the past. I have recommended Everest Krill Oil to multiple friends and family who suffer from joint pain and who are just working a lot and need extra energy. I also am not experiencing nearly the PMS symptoms that I have had since I had my first child. I am not as tired, edgy, or as bloated as I usually get and my skin doesn't seem to be breaking out as much either. Overall I feel great after starting my daily dose of Krill Oil. It also doesn't leave a fishy burp or aftertaste like I thought it would. It is an extremely simple solution to some of the health issues I was experiencing before and I don't have to worry about there being harsh chemicals in it as it is an all natural supplement. The feeling of betterment in your body a few days after you start taking it will definitely be noticeable and you will find yourself wondering why you haven't looked in to taking Krill Oil as part of your daily diet before now.
