A decorator surprise idea.
My wife asked me to install her fancy new alabaster sconces. Not the worst job if there are already built-in power outlets. But those are scarce in a 70 year-old building. The solution is to install battery powered puck lights behind the alabaster shade slabs and attach the whole works to the wall.We stuck two of these pucks on each base (stickers included). They're a reasonably warm light when reflected off brass and when shining through a softening scrim like this slab of a marble-like shade.I'm not worried about battery consumption (3 AAAs per puck) because the remote control allows me to set auto-turn-off in as little as ten minutes. They're entry sconces so I don't expect to use the 60 minute timer. One remote can control all pucks but not at all at once if they're tucked behind a light shade as in this design. I need to bring the tiny IR remote closer to the target to set power and timing.Battery-changing won't be problem because the pucks are easy to remove and open up just by reaching behind the slab shade (also a good Amazon find...not a paid promo so I won't put a link here).I just hope this inspires décor ideas for folks who like to use indirect light and have trouble thinking of ways to install and power them. The

These lights are Fantastic. A 6 pack of lights with 2 remotes
These lights are Fantastic. I went back and forth deciding on which to order a set that requires batteries or a system of puck lights that would plug-in to an outlet. I Ultimately decided on these that work with 3 AAA batteries. I may get rechargeable batteries later on.I have been researching the best lighting for the kitchen and decided I wanted a soft white light. The light that these provide is perfect. I'm not sure how many I'll need in the kitchen so I decided to use the 3M tape before i sure the supplied screws. I had them all installed in under 10 minutes. This is one of my best purchases in a long time and probably one of my favorite DIY projects. It is so simple and yet such a dramatic outcome. I love them! The remote is fantastic. Keep in mind when you install - the puck lights need to be in range of the remote signal. I'm installing one under the cabinet above my refrigerator (not that we needed light there but I still had an extra light and thought the effect would be nice) but it was too high and too out of range for the remote. I like the timer (you can set it for 10,30, 60 or 120 minutes) and the ability to dim the lights manually or with the four presets ( 10%, 40%, 80%, 100%). I also really like being able to just reach up and tap on one light. When it's time to replace batteries you just slide the light from the holder very easy. The back slides off, exposing the battery compartment. Just replace the batteries and slide back on. Very easy. I highly recommend this lighting system. I going to purchase another set for the cabin to take with us when we go camping this summer. The two remotes will be very helpful we can use three lights in each room of the cabin.

Great for Halloween pumpkins!
I got these lights specifically to use in my carved pumpkins for Halloween this year, and I was very happy with them for that use. I've tried a few different battery-powered lights for pumpkins, but none have worked well until these ones. They were very bright, and lit the pumpkins uniformly (not just lighting up one side or the other).I did not get around to trying any of the color-change features, and I did not use the remotes that came with the lights. I'll play around with these features a little more before next Halloween. I also did not mount the lights at all (just placed them in the bottom of the pumpkins), but I liked the way they were designed to be able to mount them easily if that's what you want to do. I could see good uses for the lights under kitchen cabinets or in a closet, etc.The only complaint I have about the lights is that they seemed to be pre-set for a timed shut-off. So, I had to go turn them back a few times throughout the evening, which was mildly annoying. I'm sure there's a way to tweak the settings on the remote, but I didn't get a chance to play with it before go time. :)

Flimsy and won’t stay up
I use puck light under my cabinets overwork sections and decided to try these. Unfortunately if you try to mount them using the double stick adhesive they fall within 24 hours. If you mount the light holder with screws, every time you push the button to turn on the light it falls out of the holder onto the cabinet. You have to use the remote control and be careful not to ever jiggle them or they will fall.I thought the oval shape might look better under cabinets, but the round puck lights are superior, they stay up with adhesive only, and they have remotes with timers. I would skip this one and go on to another product

better than my expectations!!
These are great. I really did not expect much for the price but I would absolutely recommend these lights. I wanted to add a little color at night to my family room so I installed one of these under my mantle and two in my entertainment center. They all work from one remote, so I don't need three. The colors are vibrant and the fade function works really well. When fading, in-between main colors, the colors merge and the effect is quite pretty and relaxing. So far the adhesive is sticking just fine. My only problem is where to put the other 3 lights. I will find them all a home, believe me. If you are looking for lights to warm your area and the ability to change both effects and colors, get these, they will not disappoint. 😀
