Rainbow In My Room Tabletop Décor Night Light Projector - Uncle Milton

This product is dangerous. My son and I really loved the rainbow, but the LED lights reflect off the metal hot enough to melt the plastic. When my son turned it on for longer than 10 minutes it began to melt the white plastic casing to the point of emitting black smoke (see the pictures). I believe this product might need a safety recall and I will be contacting the manufacturer about this issue.

The colors seem washed out and the purple doesn't really even show. Not much blue either. The colors are not evenly distributed at all. I purchased a second one for a neighbor girl thinking it was this Uncle Milton one that I purchased the first time but instead, I was sent a generic one that is only $13. Before I was to return the generic one, I was curious to compare the two in action side by side. I was blown away by the bold color and EVEN distribution of color from the generic one. There was actually purple in the rainbow lol. I suggest you DO NOT purchase this Uncle Milton rainbow light and instead purchase the one on Amazon that's about $13.

"Santa" was hesitant to get this for my 5 year old, even though she saw it in a catalog and really wanted it, due to the negative reviews where people claimed it didn't work at all. Don't worry, I'm intelligent enough to bypass the ones who mistakenly thought it was going to shoot a holographic picture across the room and not need to be near a wall to reflect the light...Needing one more present, I decided to go for it. So glad I did, because this thing is a giant hit in our house! The girls already have a star nightlight and glow in the dark stars on the ceiling so this just adds to their decor. We set it on the younger one's nightstand, about 12 inches from the wall, as that's what seemed necessary from the poor reviews. It is pretty cool, and certainly bright enough. She has on the setting that starts with just the red and adds each color in until it makes the full rainbow. I love that it turns itself off after time so we are not wasting batteries all night.I was ready to add a positive review after a week or so, but didn't get to it. The girls one day decided to move it to the upper bunk (older sis) and try to project it onto the ceiling on top of the glow in the dark stars. They called us in excitedly to see the results. Have to admit, it is awesome! I would never have tried it based on what I had read, but now had to come and review just so others could see what this can actually do.

So this doesn't come with an AC adapter. Which sucks. But here's the link for the factory adapter available right here at Amazon, and it works great! Without the adapter it turns off after 10 minutes, which isn't all that useful. I haven't had any issues with bad light bulbs or overheating, even with overnight use, and it's been about a month so far.If your child is afraid of the dark like mine, try this out. 👍🏻

Really a cool projector. I got this for my 2 yo daughters birthday which it today. She's probably going to end up breaking it fairly soon (or her brothers will) but it's perfect for now. Kind of cheap plastic and really not for her age but she's having so much fun running around with it projecting "mainbows" on everything that even if it breaks today it'll still have been worth every penny. The downside to me is that it doesn't emit very strong light waves on the walls even in a dark room. If it lasts more than a month I will be very happy!Update from 10/7/17 to 1/1/20: this thing has lasted. I gave it a month. It’s been over two years. I of course have to replace the batteries on occasion but it has survived an autistic older brother, another older brother with severe ADHD, a clumsy dad, a baby sister who throws things, two chew on everything puppies and it’s STILL WORKING. Love this mainbow!

I was a little skeptical about my purchase after reading the reviews, but the rainbow in my room works great! Our kids room is about 15x15 and you can clearly see the rainbow across the ceiling with the lamp on the top of a dresser...The first two attached pics show real use in our kids room, the last pic with it near the door is to see how it looks "close to a wall"...A+ item, you won't be disappointed!!!

This item was delivered on March 23. By June 1, it was dead. Opened it up to find all four batteries have corroded and ruined the inside. I cleaned it to try and salvage it, put new batteries in. It now turns on, but while the lights are on, they are no longer powerful enough to project to the ceiling, even when the room is dark. I had to return the first one of these immediately because the reflective strip was messed up. This was my second unit. It is a shame, because my three and five year old daughters love it.

This is not the same as the picture. This is a cheap knock-off. In the photo, it shows this as branded Uncle Milton. I bought this because of the excellent review on YouTube. The quality of this is rubbish. The instructions are only in Polish, unlike the listing which states English french Spanish. How am I supposed to understand instructions only in polish? I don’t know what the settings are for and also can’t use the electric jack as despite there being a connection for it, there is no connector and plug provided. I am returning this. Such a shame. Really disappointed.

No rainbow just a dim light and a waste of battery’s. Not happy my little one was looking forward to see the rainbow in her room. Waste of money

Although I was a little bit disappointed with this rainbow projector, my son loves it, I think it is a little bit overpriced for what it is.the projector has 2 options. mode 1: turns on at once and option 2: turns on the rainbow on one color at a time and stays like that until it switches off. I though the colours will change constantly.The projector is more like a night light

Bought for my niece. My sister was embarrassed to tell me that the rainbow is barely visible, even in a room with black out blinds. Apparently, if held in a certain position (requiring my brother-in-law to be tiptoeing in the doorway) the rainbow was fairly clear, but other than that - rubbish.
