Waste of money!
The battery cover for this thermometer was practically glued on and bloodied my friends hand trying to pry it open with scissors. Even worse it kept giving inaccurate readings, which can be dangerous if you have a fever but the number is inaccurate or if you don’t have a fever and the number doesn’t reflect the accurate temperature. She compared it with an oral mercury thermometer. Way overpriced to boot. Keep looking!!

Works okay
No idea how accurate it is as I have the kind you point at your forehead as well and they differ in numbers. My daughter has one like this & likes it.Works okay.

Inaccurate temp, much longer than 6sec. I would not trust this device. I should have believed the lower star ratings.
