I have tried several 10W QI car chargers, and with my previous phones which only supported 10W wireless, I was unable to stream music, use Google maps, and charge at the same time. Either the phone would continue to lose power (although slower than if unplugged), or would overheat and stop charging completely. With my new Galaxy S10, which supports 15W wireless charging, and this device which provides 10W, I can fully utilize the phone while charging (although still waiting for some long drives on very hot days to make sure it continues to perform when it gets warm, but that is what AC is for). I like the IR automatic open and close, and the device has a rechargeable battery inside so it does not need external power to open and grab the phone (I have it plugged into an outlet that is only one when the car is running, and I can attach and remove my phone when the car is not on). Battery lasts more than a week idle. The ball on the mount is standard size, so if you don't like suction cup connectors, you can use it with a CD slot or air vent connector instead.

A wonderful product, however keep in mind that once the car gets hot, use of this charger will trigger your phone's thermal protection system.

The proximity sensor messes up and this thing opens and closes constantly. I have to unplug it and wait for the battery to die before I can use it again. This is a problem as I depend on it to hold my phone for navigation and it keeps opening and dropping my phone under the brake pedal. After which I usually curse its descendantsand throw it to the back of the car where I can hear it chewing on things for half an hour or so while I drive. Also it came charged from Amazon and I wasn't prepared so it bit my fingers when I took it out of the package.

I had to get a replacement. The arms kept open and closing. My phone dropped out. The replacement still had the same issue with less frequency. I need to use a rubber band as insurance to keep holding it in.

This has been a great car mount cell holder and charger. The wireless charging capabilities and numerous mounting options is what drew me to the mount in the first place. We have a Ford Expedition and I wanted an Air Con vent holder, however, the Ford's vent levers are rather large, so this one's fit the bill. Turns our I never used the vent though because the suction mount worked perfectly. The wireless charging works great and the holder easily grabs our families iPhone 10 and my Pixel 2XL (no wireless charging on that one though). The only down side is if you don't have a phone in the holder the IR Proximity sensor to open the folder goes off quite easily. Adjust the temp it opens, turn up the radio it opens, turn the car from light to dark, it opens, etc. Minor inconvenience in the grands scheme of things. I like it and highly recommend it.

Now I love this product! The fact that I can have it on my windshield or the vent is great on top of all that a wireless charger!!! Now the only 2 things I wish could be better. 1) I like to keep a thick case on my I phone x for protection and the wireless charging didn’t get to charging my phone. 2) wish the wire to the stand was longer for better concealment.

The media could not be loaded.  I'm hoping I received a defective unit. I really wanted to love this car mount, it has everything I wanted. Fast charging, auto clamp, type c cable. It was perfect. Sadly the auto clamp feature doesn't stop. It constantly opens and closes at random times and once it starts it doesn't want to stop. This happens even if the phone is in the mount causing it to fall to the floor and under the gas. Overall I'm hoping I received a defective one because everything else is great but on a 2 hour car ride the open/close defect makes me want to throw 40 dollars out the window.

Very interesting how just holding your phone near the base causes it to automatically open and then close on your phone. Still not as simple to release it, but putting in is a snap. Seems to charge fine and hold the phone without slipping. Would have given it 5 stars if the release was a little easier to do or figure outUPDATE: Stopped working all together after several months. Just the power LED light red and the button blinks blue. Can't find anyway to reset or do anything. Doesn't open or close anymore. Must throw away.
