The low failure rate of the blanks is its major selling point.

Was looking for CD-R to use with my Sega Saturn so I can play some translations of a few games I own and reading online everyone seemed highly recommend Taiyo Yuden discs as the best to use. I came across the Legend with PRO discs while searching on amazon and they were the cheapest Taiyo Yuden discs you could find but there wasn't any reviews so decided to try them out myself. Using Img Burn these discs do seem to be legit Taiyo Yuden discs. So far I've tried them with my Sega Saturn, Sega CD and Dreamcast and every game has worked flawlessly so far.

I used these to make wedding gifts for my guests and worked very well with EAC (with a caveat but probably has more to do with my burner than anything). Just make sure you are using reliable software for CD authoring via .cue files. I did not print on them so I can't comment on that, though.

I have always used the Taiyo Yuden Pro line of CDs and rarely have issues in my Microboards 10 disc duplicators. I saw these for a much lower price with the Taiyo Yuden name and the word professional on the label. 75% of these CDs have failed. My Microboards duplicator will usually catch bad discs and give me an error message so I know not to use a bad disc for a client. The last job I ran I had some of these go out to a client and he was having all kinds of errors with these discs. I had to re-run the whole order (200 CDs) for my client. Trying to save a little money cost me much more in the end. They should remove the word "Professional" from this line.

Discs write flawlessly and no bad discs so far (burned 68). There is a horrible strong burnt chemical odor. The smell can be reduced greatly by leaving the discs outside in the sun, white side up on a towel in the lawn for a day. Unfortunately, they still stink though, just not the whole house when you first get them.

Good quality. They seem to burn fine so far, up to 52x with my burner. Two small issues: The CD-R bundle was not packed well in box (only 1 small air pillow), the wrapping opened and CDs were all over inside box. Also, they smell bad - a strong nasty plastic smell. Not sure I would get them again due to that.

Pro Taiyo Yuden are very good quality discs. Highly recommended. Wish they cost less!
