Works perfectly, good quality
Had so many tea balls before all ended up in bin for many reasons, finally found a good quality oneworks great, doesn't leave any aftertaste and is easy to clean and maintain. It will not open by itself inside your cup and as for tea leaves disposal, just twist the handle over a bin and shake the leaves out, clean and easy, same for grabbing the leaves from jar, no need to touch the leaves with your hands at all.Just use it as a spoon to take as many leaves as you need from the jar and close the ball. Some dust will fall through the holes of course so its not very good for fine grind coffee and its a bit expensive, but i like the design and its well made so i guess its worth the price

The best for loose black tea
Perfect to brew tea in china/porcelain cup. I've spent fortune's on teapots and they all have flaws. I drink black teas, Assam, English/Irish breakfast types and always throught the brown Betty was the best brewing vessel, however I've noticed even when heating pots and using the correct ratio my Betty and other ceramic pots take away a little colour , they make them more muted flavour and colour for sure! Everytime blind tasting loose in the cup is better and hotter! Tried it with glass and glass tastes the same as the infuser only slightly cooler. All in all infusing in the cup is great, this infuser is superior than others even though it's pricey it's probably worth it if stands the test of time . I only use china mugs for tea, don't have the dainty small ones just some solid fine china ones different tea brands make

Simple but effective design
The shape of this product is perfect. I had one previously which instead of rotating to close, it slid back and forward and left a gap for large chunks of tea to leak into the rest of the cup. This however shuts close very tightly ensuring no chunks of tea get left in the cup when you go to drink it. The holes seem to be optimum size to allow the tea to steep whilst again preventing chunks of tea being left in your cup at the end. The material is good with no signs of wear or rust after 9 months of constant use, and is reasonably easy to clean being stainless steel. Overall a very good product, I would highly reccommend.

Very convenient
This has been extremely convenient and very clever; it's been great to use at work! The only downside I've found with it at all is that it doesn't cope very well with some extra fine white tea I recently tried (i.e. small bits get through a lot), but that'll probably be the case with anything not mesh (at least). For good quality loose leaf teas, it's generally quite good.

Excellent for loose or herbal teas
Works well. I have bought many of these for myself and others. Much better than a tea-ball on a dodgy little chain. Nice and substantial, works well, robust. Can recommend.

The easiest to use and clean tea brewer out there, but doesn't last forever
Compared to other brewers, this ball is really easy to load and empty. It also has fine holes that prevent tea leaves from getting in your drink. I also find that because the holes are around all sides of the ball that it's quicker to infuse (especially if you move it around). The downsides is that they doesn't last forever - I've found after 6 months of heavy use (multiple times a day) the mechanism does break. Carefully drying it after each use can make them last long. I've also found that one of the last few I've ordered was mis-aligned so left a gap after closing - I've noticed some of the reviews here mention they have seen a lot of leaves when using this leak from the ball and this might be why.

such a good product, well built and properly designed. It's the simple things.. I've tried a million different infusers and this is the one for me. Works well and is mess free-ish

Quality has declined
I was given a set of these some years ago and they are excellent and in use everyday. I got a second set for my wife to use simultaneously. These second ones, which outwardly look the same, are not as good. They tend to let fine tea leaves from where the two half spheres meet. It would seem that the quality of manufacturing has declined. They are still useable and useful, just not as good as the old one.
