SH02 Portable Wireless Camera System with 120V AC to 12V DC Adapter

Just tried out the SH02 hitch camera on my pop-up camper in prep for a trip: it works wonderfully! I am recovering from back surgery andthis has reduced my painful getting in/out of the car to check setup just fine. Color Camera vision is clear even in low light and magnet in camera base catches the back of my mini-van without use of suction cups /magnet combo which was included in the package. I did not use the included velcro for placing the monitor inside the car on the dash as I could see it fine when I set it on the middle console. I did order separately the AC/DC charger as the unit only comes with a cigarette lighter charger/the adapter worked fine to charge it in the house, takes 3-4 hours for full charge- that was 2 days ago and the unit seems fully charged today. This gives me the independence of not needing anyone else to help with hitching, would definitely recommend for anyone who uses a hitch as it is quick/easy, big time saver.

I purchased this product and charged the camera and receiver one time which was the Initial charge. This product worked flawlessly every time I used it for several years. I may have used it 5 times. I got it for when I was by myself and didn’t have help backing up to my trailer. I went to use it again one day and noticed the camera didn’t come on but the receiver still worked. Thinking the camera battery was dead, I went to charge it and noticed that it kept blowing fuses and would not charge. I called the service hotline and left several unanswered messages. Having no luck phoning them I emailed them telling them of my unanswered phone calls and what my problem was. I did finally get a callback and was told that they wold tell the technicians to get in touch with me. I got emailed from the technician that they think it wasn’t a battery problem but something wrong with the camera itself. They also said they don’t make that model anymore and because it was out of the one year warranty I would have to buy a different cheaper camera. I only charged this product one time and it doesn’t work anymore. After seeing the low number of reviews compared to others products of this kind I am going to purchase from a different manufacturer. I wanted to let potential customers know what happened to me with this product and that I would not recommend wasting over $200.00 for it.

I charged up both units and the battery life seems to match the specs 10 hours on the camera and 4 on the screen. I have used the camera several times now and it is truly worth every penny for the convenience, safety and the elimination of the frustration of hooking up with help and especially alone. The night vision works very well and I also use it on the ground by the trailer tires to see when I am centered on the leveling blocks. For it's intended purpose it is outstanding, as far as using it for any distance over 20 or 30 feet I experienced lots of static on the screen. All I can say is if this thing ever breaks I would buy another one.A couple quirks I noticed I wanted to share: Outside green grass and trees show as purple but other colors seem OK. While messing around with the camera in the house, it would interfere with our WiFi connection, I thought there was something wrong with my laptop. As soon as I turned off the camera, my internet connection came back, I tried several times to verify it and it was the camera. The screen is hard to see if the sun is shining on it and it could be a little bit bigger. I called the manufacturer with a couple questions and the owner answers the phone and is VERY helpful .

I've only used this twice so far and both times it has proven to be a real treat to have, as I didn't need the wife's help to get our trailer hooked up to the truck. I was able to back up and stop in the perfect spot the very first time. No more in and out, in and out, move an inch to the left, no the other left and so on. Anybody that has a trailer knows exactly what I'm saying. It was easy to charge both units, easy to set up and very easy to use. The magnet works great and I know I'll use the suction cups on the back of our trailer sooner or later. My only bit of disapointment was trying to see the screen when it is really sunny outside, as the brightness seems to make the actual picture very, very light gray and tough to see the screen clearly. I've not yet used it in the dark, but I'm sure it will be great there. I'm really glad I went with the SH02 model rather than the SH01, as the carry case with the foam protection around each piece is great, with all the charging cords and everything needed to use this set-up was in there, also I wanted the suction cup set-up as well. In my opinion, it was a good deal for the price!

I did not experience any of the "interference" that other users noticed, when connecting my trailer. However when I first received the camera, and was testing it indoors, I did have the signal problems that other users have experienced. This is probably due to the wireless Wi-Fi (I have two systems) as this is not a problem outdoors.I use the camera to connect my 17 foot travel trailer to my Ford Escape so distance is not a problem. I friend of mine has a 45' stainless steel Prevost and wondered if it would work on his hitch. I was skeptical but it performed as advertised.

very good camera system...totally portable..use it to hook up my 30ft travel trailer to my F-250..I recomend this product...2 drawbacks are 1/ picture gets very grainey when camera mounted on bumper of my 30 ft travel trailer...I guess the transmission distance to display is too far?..2/ the purchase price of the unit is very high in my opinion...Thats why it gets a four star rating instead of five..for the price wanted i shoud of put up with the wife yelling and screaming directions...
