Pioneer DEX-P99RS Stage 4 Reference Series CD Receiver

if you like SQ but don't want to mess around with a lap top computer this is it,this is something you can adjust on the go if and when you feel or notice something that needs it,not like the lap top tuners where you have to wait to you get home and find time to do all that crap,no this just makes sense,i have two pioneer 80's in other rides so I'm kinda familiar with the tuning on this so that helped me out a lot,but I'm still playing around with eq settings i love it,i wish i had two more for my other rides,I'm not rich by no means it took me a while to save up for this,you should do the same,just save some money for a few months i promise you will like it,its night and day difference i mean come on do you think it wouldn't be anything at all for that price,I've never paid this much for one item in audio ever..not just for one piece but like i said best money ever saved and spent,just do it.

Yes, the hype is all that. Bravo Pioneer for the P99RS head unit. Excellence! I've had the Stage 4 equipment in a MY98 Porsche 911(993) coupe for more than a year. Understated aesthetic with outstanding tier 1 audio performance... the bass extension is outstanding. Fit's the old sckool 911 (993) dashboard perfectly looking better than the CDR210 Becker unit it replaces. The P99RS HU is the center piece of a stealth Dynaudio HiFi enhancement of the #490 factory HiFi option. The head unit is coupled with (2) Pioneer PRS-A900 class A/B amplifiers driving a 3-way fully active HiFi system in the coupe.

All I can say is, thank you Pioneer for creating this masterpiece! Since I installed it in my car, I don't want to get out of it and I cannot wait for the next ride just to enjoy the music again. The level of this detail with this headunit is stunning. I need to become a sound engineer to get it setup close to perfectly but already after a couple of trials this thing brings music to a new dimension. WOW.

Wow! Amazing quality sound and build/design. Made in Japan - very good sign! I’ve been in the audiophile game with home systems for over 30 years but this is my first foray into auto hifi. I haven’t got all then accessories I’ll need to install in my car yet but as I couldn’t wait to try it out I brought a spare car battery into my living room and hooked it up to my home system - NAD 2155 power amp running B&W 805 Matrix speakers. The sound quality is blowing me away! Whether playing CDs or running my iPhone 6s through the USB input (I rip songs into iTunes at pretty high sampling rates) it sounds as good or better than running these sources through my home components (which are all very good). I have a JL XD 400 4 channel amp coming to mate this with and I’m looking forward to hearing it in my car!
