informative, with a little bit of negativity toward others in the same field of exploration
I enjoyed 90% of this book. The 10% I did not enjoy consisting of insults and criticism of Terrence & Dennis McKenna to only name a few. Anyone Ross didn’t agree with / particularly like basically got it, tearing their ideas / theories apart.Great anecdotal stories form a range of people giving insights into mushroom ceremonies/ trips and lessons learnt. The 10% bitterness just spoilt it somewhat, but still worth a read.

Amazing!!
I don't usually write reviews, but this is worth it. I did a report for university about mushrooms and totally fell in love, I was particulary really interested in the magic mushrooms and how shamans use them for ceremonies and healing, therefore decided to buy this book. It was so worth the money and it's amazing!! Can get a little repetitive at times, but I would definitely recommend

Another very useful book from R Heaven
Was tempted to raise a 5 but did not because, IMO, too much space offered to the history of the Western explorers of mushrooms, who seemingly didn't deserve it and for good reason (clearly explained in the book), and not enough to the history of the book's hero: psylocibin mushroom! But having said that, the rest of the content very largely compensates that. Outstanding and instructive.
