My maltipoo gets so hot outdoor playing & this is the only cooling pad ever that I have purchased that is truly a quality item . The inner ice sheet is great because it can be removed and re-frozen. You can also purchase additional ice sheets. It's nice that the top is very durable and stain resistant. The inner liners are thick so that condensation doesn't leak on the outside.

This is one of the best things I have bought on Amazon. With stuff like this, you never know quite how it will work out. The gamble was worth it. I use this when I am going to have my dog in the car in weather that is iffy (eg. 80s). I have two of the large size beds which would completely cover the floor of the dog's crate (though I only use one at a time). I put one of the beds in the crate and one on top of the crate to absorb heat from outside. This set-up keeps my pup really comfortable. (The first time I used them, I put both beds in the bottom of the crate so the whole bottom of the create was covered and also put an extra ice pack top of the crate. The poor guy. When I got back to the car, he was shivering and wet. I live in a humid climate and the ice on top of the crate had begun dripping cold water from condensation, and the entire bottom of the crate was ice bed. So now I only put one of the beds in bottom of the crate (which covers half of the bottom of the crate) so he can move off and on the ice bed to adjust his temperature). I am careful -- I would not use this in the 90s, especially if I have to park in the sun, but it is really useful for hot, but not insanely hot days. I bought two extra ice sheets and keep them in a cooler in the car so that as the ice sheet in the crate melts, I can put in a fresh one. The spare ice sheets also keeps my drinks and lunch cold (I drive a lot for my job). Eventually the bubbles in the ice sheet start to leak-- I have used these beds for two spring-summer-fall seasons and about 1/4-1/3 of the bubbles have leaked, so I need to get new sheets for next year. The beds themselves stand up to lots of scratching (the pup always wants to arrange things properly). Extra benefit: for ladies with hot flashes, you can use them to cool down! All in all a really great product.

This cooling pad was worth every penny! It’s a perfect fit for the outdoor house I have. The stray cat I’ve been taking care of uses it every day! Stays cool for hours and holds up against her sharp nails.

These mats were excellent for my cats in the extreme Arizona heat this summer. The cover is constructed of heavy duty fabric with reinforced edges that help the pads to keep their shape over time and also reduces the chance of tearing. I like both of the insulation pads included that help to keep them cold longer. These mats also have a cool touch to them when used near my air conditioner even without ice inside.But I don't like the included "ice cube sheet". It takes up a lot of room in my freezer but doesn't stay frozen or cold for more than an hour. So instead, I purchased other soft blue ice packs that stay frozen longer. These worked well with the mats to keep my cats cool for several hours. And my cats enjoy laying on the mats whether the temperature is hot or cold. I think these may work in the winter to keep them cozy with a hot water bottle inside. Another bonus with these is they cover and protect a large portion of my sofa. I highly recommend these!

The mat fits nicely in an upright freezer; might have to roll it up if you’re using a refrigerator/freezer unit. Nice size for mid to large sized dogs. Pad is comfortable for our elderly dog on hot summer nights.

I got this for my Pom 2 years ago and it’s still holding up great. He loves it in the summer. The materials are of good quality and it’s easy to clean. I purchased a second freezer insert so I can rotate them from cooling mat to freezer to keep it cool throughout the day.

I had gel mats for my Bernese Mountain Dogs and they didn't stay cold for very long but they were icy cold right out of the freezer and my dogs loved that, it helped them cool down quickly. I was hoping this product would have a similar result but an upgrade by staying colder and having nice padding. The mats don't get very cold, they stay cool for a long time but only slightly cooler than my hardwood floors. It does take a while for them to get cool to begin with because the ice packs need a little time to cool the gel insert pads but even when I've had the ice packs in the freezer for several days so they are frozen solid and then put them in the mats for more than an hour, the mats are just cool and not cold. My dogs aren't interested, they prefer the slate tile near the entryway instead.I don't think I have any return options unfortunately because I opened these to use them before I found out they didn't meet expectations and everything I can find says I can only return them if they are unopened and unused. This was an expensive lesson, I was so certain the dogs would love them I bought six of these. Do I have any return options?The mats are high quality, the gel pads are thick and the outer protective covering is durable and nice looking. The concept of the ice packs seemed like a really good idea. I'm a little unsure how to rate the feature that is titled "warmth" since being warm isn't the goal.
