Does what I wanted
When I do video work for performances I like to use two cameras. One with a wide lens and one with a medium lens. I had been using two different tripods as a result and that can make for a cramped experience depending on where I need to set up. Now I can use just a single solid tripod and mount both cameras. I'm not a huge fan of the way they did the tightening knobs, and I may have damaged the thread a bit on one of them by not getting it perfectly aligned, but it does appear to be doing what I wanted and I am not worried about anything loosening up now.

Great fit for my tripod!
Absolutely love this for taking lay flat photos. It fits my existing tripod perfectly and I'm able to attach the ball head of the tripod to one end. I highly suggest making sure your existing tripod has the right size screw for the adapter on this side arm, first. It's a larger screw than what you would use to attach to a camera's base/quick release base. It's easy to adjust, able to slide forward and back by loosening knobs so you can control how far the camera is held. It feels very sturdy, which was a surprise. It has some weight to it. I've used it with a point and shoot and a DSLR, but keep in mind that the weight of a larger camera will need to be offset just a bit at the other end to keep it level and to avoid it from tipping forward, which is expected.

Not for me !!!
I needed something for the top down overhead shot it does serve the purpose but no matter the amount of weight I hang on the other side it tends to be not enough and the camera seems slanted .

Work great. Very sturdy.
It’s work with my camera stand perfectly. It’s told you the size of the screw. Unfortunately didn’t clarify the information which part of the crew, the screw hole or the screw. So here is the addition information. The part that will connect with the stand have the screw hole being 3/8”. The part that will connect with the camera have screw up being 3/8” as well. However, if your camera stand have a screw hole, I believe you can adjust and use the other part that have a crew up as well. Before I bought this one. I bought the one that came with the stand and everything. They have got a lot of good reviews. However it was more expensive than this one and it wasn’t work. So if you already have the good stand one. I will recommend this one instead.

Really solid and versatile
Very substantially built, with a lot of options. 3/8 male threads at the ends and on each of the sliding platforms. 3/8 female at the tripod connection. To get an even longer extension from the tripod, you can remove one of the sliding platforms. You have four different places to put your ball head or other accessory. Way better than I thought it would be. To attach a camera directly, with no ball head in-between, you'll need an adapter with 1/4 male and 3/8 female, but those are very cheap and Amazon has a lot of choices. However, using a ball head is the best way to go.

Very useful!
This is a pretty great piece that I added to my tripod to do process videos from an overhead view. What I like is the versatility. I can add ball heads to put my phone on it, use my DSLR, lights, etc... I see a lot of options. You just have to figure out your weight balance and you’re good to go. Make sure you get the converters for the screws too, you’ll need those for your attachments.

It’s not long enough
use it for overhead to extend overhead

Sturdy but not secure
Camera doesn’t mount securely to it. It’s loose and feels like it will fall off. Camera moves around
