Algreen vs Lechuza Self Watering Pots. Both Good for Overwaterers
I have a lot of pots. Most of my pots are either Algreen or Lechuza because I like having a water reservoir. I am an overwaterer, at least I was until I started buying self-watering pots. It is still possible to overwater with a water reservoir, so I make sure that the top soil is dry before I fill the reservoir. I only have to water every 1 to 3 weeks with my self-watering pots. My fast growing herbs typically need watering once a week while my slower growing plants are okay for 2 to 3 weeks. Both brands are expensive but the time savings and aid with moisture control is worth it for me. I killed plants for years until I bought these pots.Algreen vs Lechuza:- Country of origin: Algreen pots are made in China, while Lechuza pots are made in Germany.- Pon: The Lechuza pots come with Pon (basically fancy gravel) that is supposed to make the self-watering system work better. I bought a large bag of Pon off Amazon that I use when I reuse a Lechuza pot or buy an Algreen pot.- Price: The Algreen pots are typically about $10 cheaper for the same size pot.- Quality: I have not noticed a difference. The water level indicator is almost identical and works just as well in both.- Style: The Lechuza pots tend to be better looking.Summary: I prefer my Lechuza pots. However, I buy a lot of pots, so typically I go with whichever one is one sale. This particular model is very nicely styled, and can be mounted (with an additional purchase). I can comfortably fit three of my herb plants in this planter.

Worth the Money. (Remember to buy the brackets!)
Beautiful quality construction. I love that I have the ability to put the plugs back in for inside use. Holds about five, 4” plants comfortably (I’m using them for herbs).I freaking love these things. I was on the fence (ha) about buying them for my balcony railing. It’s a thin one and I was nervous placement wouldn’t be right to hold the planter. Regardless, I ordered two and then two sets of brackets.Set up was simple, but some instructions for the water meter were unclear. I did my best with some common sense and a glass of wine and it seems to be working! Once the roots are established, I’ll try the self watering feature. The only bummer is that the brackets are sold separately and kinda costly. But after I assembled it, it was completely worth the money.

The brackets are awesome and will accommodate many thickness and widths of top ...
We received these planters today and it took all of five minutes to attach them to our wrought iron rail. The brackets are awesome and will accommodate many thickness and widths of top rail , I estimate from .75" X .75" up to a 2 x 6. The boxes and the brackets are super heavy duty, high quality plastic material. The inside boxes, black slide easily down into the white outer box and have very cool extendable handles that are used to pull the inner planter from the white outer one...very well thought out. The brackets are fully adjustable with a big plastic screw structure and the box slides onto then screw into the brackets. The screw holes even have inserts for the machine threaded screws to firmly attach. These are so cool, we were surprised how much they exceeded our expectations. The water meter thing is firmly attached and appears to be well engineered. We will buy more of these for sure.

Close to perfect!
The hanging baskets are amazing in so many ways. Everything goes together smoothly and fits perfect, plus they are beautiful and robust. If you are hanging on a balcony you have to buy additional brackets which are nearly as expensive as the basket itself. It seems over the top. I do have two main suggestions;1) The straps of the brackets are very short and do not accommodate more non standard railings, which I have. I needed to find on Amazon an equivalent width strap and bought it, glued to the unit, which gave me enough length to fit around the railing.2) Before you plant up thing about where you want the hole for filling with water. The instruction manual shows the hole and water gauge in the back left but in other pictures the front right. After your plants start growing if they are hanging on a balcony the front right is much easier to get to

Worth the Money
My planters are at full bloom even after several summer months of temperatures consistently being in the 100s. Every few days I put the water in it. Initial outlay higher. However, not consistently loosing plants makes you break even. Nice to leave for a few days and plants are still thriving.

Really great box. Very Impressed
This box is more than what i was hopping for. I wanted something that looked pretty. This definitely does that. Additionally the fact that i can keep it watered without stressing is very great. I've had it for about a month now and the watering system seems to be working perfectly. Haven't had any flowers die.The straps were great for me to because I have a balcony with a mesh like screen. The strap could go through the holes and then lock in above. There is Also a cap built into the bottom, you’ll probably want to remove that so that if it rains, excess water will drain out and not drown your plants.Update: I’ve now had This for over a year, still love it and still not having any issues with flowers dying from under/over watering.

Great value
Surprisingly great quality for the price, even considering the additional cost of the brackets. The unit is easy to install and seems to be a very durable and attractive material. The self watering indicators are fairly easy to read and it is easy to keep the reservoirs full. Mine is mounted on the pool cabana where it receives hot sun, and I still only have to water every 2-3 days. I was worried that the narrow width would spell trouble for keeping the box moist, but this has not been a problem. Installed a month ago, and plants are thriving.

Worth the money.
I loved this balconiera I was looking forSomething elegant and with good quality. This worth the money, the only thing is that it doesn’t come with the brackets, and they are veryyyy expensive, so I had the idea to buy some corner braces and that was the best idea ever I just spend $4 dollars.
