Stay off the Tool Trucks if you are looking for Universal Sockets!
I work in a performance shop and I mainly do engine work on drag cars and diesel trucks. With that being said, I really started to find myself borrowing my co-workers SnapOn univ. sockets and wanted my own. But I could not bring myself to spend that much money on one set of sockets and decided to look elsewhere. Im glad I came across Capri Tools because they are truly the real deal. I have this 3/8" Impact set, as well as the chrome 1/4" set for smaller jobs & bolts. They come in a heavy duty, nice looking case, have the sizes stamped onto them, and they can take a beating. I use the impact set every day on a 3/8" impact gun and haven't had any issues yet over the time frame of about 6 months. The only minor hiccup in these are because of the circular shape of the bases i have had instances where i couldn't quite get them to fit in areas i needed them to. But that has only been a handful of times out of hundreds of uses so I'm not complaining. Bottom line is, I've used the Snap-On set, I've used these from Capri, and they're both very well made tools, that look great, and hold up very well. The difference: I paid less than $100 for these, for the same Snap On set (plus a 21mm in their set) it is listed as $615.40.

A good middle of the road socket
They are kind of fat to get into tight spaces, but for the money, they are great. Use them everyday, durable, quality construction, quality materials, durable case. A good mediocre buy. Definitely doesn’t compare to Snap On swivel sockets, but these are also five to six times cheaper in price. If you need to get to wheel bearing bolts, these are too fat to fit back behind the knuckle on most of the overpriced crap cars they make these days.

Great Value
I'm a retired mechanic - I needed to fill some gaps in my tool collection. It really doesn't make sense to buy Snap-on,Mac ect for home use, You will have a hard time getting your money back out of the tool. What I mean is will you ever do enough work to save you enough to pay yourself back for the price of a premium tool, as well if something breaks the truck isn't coming to your house. So I set out to find a well built tool that is the correct cost for home use. I believe I've found it with Capri Tools - made with high quality steel and having a lifetime warranty and the price being reasonable. I'm very satisfied and would buy these tools again.

Worked fine so far.
Worked well when used to install and engine in an suv. Held up to the torque used to install the nuts and bolts. Not sure how well they will last, only used on 1 job. Made installing the engine easier with these. Did not have them when removing engine.

Robust, good value.
I use these mainly for brakes and they have held up really well. I love my Snap On stuff, but the more Capri I buy the more impressed I am and I save a ton of money.
