Dental School Clinical Survival Guide

Not worth the 50$, has only the simple and basic procedures/instruction, nothing you won't already be familiar with before clinic, just organized. Probably it wouldve been worth it if it had more procedures

This guide is awesome. Step by step instructions for a ton of procedures; a list of all the materials you need before starting any procedure; tons of helpful tips I wouldn't have even thought about. I wish this was available to me when I was coming into clinic as a third year dental student. A lot of the classes I took in dental school gave me the theoretical but this guide was exactly what I needed to start in clinic. I think the price is reasonable and I'd definitely get it again. It also seems like the authors are updating it pretty regularly which is really nice. I also love the fact that it isn’t too wordy. Sometimes I don’t have time to look at lectures or powerpoints between patients - instead - I just look at this guide. Thumbs up from me!

There is so much crucial clinical knowledge you missed out/ignored in the midst of busy pre-clinical coursework. It was little scary transitioning from pre-clinical to clinical setting, but this book did a wonderful job filling in the knowledge gap. 50 bucks is dirt cheap considering the amount of time/efforts you will save. Must read prior to starting clinic!

This little book is such a great resource to guide students through the clinical steps of countless procedures. Making your way into clinic is an exciting experience, but also a bit scary. No matter how much you practice on manikins/typodonts, translating procedures from simulation lab to clinical protocol can be a daunting task. This book really does help and I can't imagine starting clinic without it! Its informative, yet concise subject matter makes it a necessity. Even if I know what I'm doing, a quick glance at the guide sets me at ease; it's a great check to make sure I don't forget a thing!

I enjoy using this clinic manual because I find it helpful in the many disciplines we focus on in dental school. When many of us transitioned to clinic we found it very overwhelming, so instead of asking for help all the time it was more rewarding to learn using this manual. I highly recommend for anyone coming to clinic. Also there is plenty of room to add your own notes as you progress.

Before reading this guide, I was skeptical as to whether or not it would help me in my transition to clinic. I viewed a sample from Student Doctor Markov's stock, and I was amazed by the organization and thoroughness of each procedure covered in the guide. Weighing in at a cool 11 ounces, the versatility and easy handling of this guide allow for an excellent user experience. A warm and inviting first page welcomes the reader into the guide, while reading through the rest is up to you.

Great information. No other books/pamphlets have come close to the level of detail and usefulness. Docked off a star because I wish the guide was a little bit more sturdy. I would recommend this for anyone who is dental school!
