Hugger Mugger Deluxe Wool Yoga Blanket

I received a gift of one of these blankets a few years ago, and it has served me so well I wanted more of them. I love wool, and found that when I washed my original blanket in Ecover Delicate Wash and cold water, and hung it outside on my drying rack, it softened it considerably, created a better drape for folding, and fluffed it out. I live in VT, so these blankets are always in my car for the long winters going to Yoga, and I relish the weight of one of them over me in savasana. They are an excellent size to fold and manipulate as a prop. I ordered the green one, and it is a MUCH better green than in the picture, very deep and rich, what I had hoped I would receive. The price is excellent value for something that will last many years and is so versatile. I'm going to keep looking on Amazon to see if the olive color appears!

This is a very dense and heavy blanket. The fabric is smooth, not rough at all. It's a bit itchy feeling to me, as is all wool. It did have a faint smell like gasoline. I washed it a couple of times and it shed a lot of fabric both times. The smell was reduced but not eliminated. After washing it was fuzzier rather than smooth. I bought it for my outdoor cats to sit on for warmth. As soon as I brought it into the house from the garage and set it on the floor preparatory to washing, one of my indoor cats promptly sat on it, so apparently she didn't mind the smell. However, now that it's outside, I have yet to see the outdoor cats sit on it.

I purchased this wool yoga blanket as an addition to the two non-woven Hugger Mugger yoga blankets I already owned. It is more pliable than the non-woven blankets and can be rolled up into a smaller blanket roll. The wool blanket is a nice addition to my yoga props collection--the non-woven blankets provide the firm foundation required for some yoga poses and the wool blanket's flexability is helpful for others. All of the Hugger Mugger blankets are well made and have held up to daily use for my yoga practice. Also, the blankets don't smell funny, which is important to my sensitive nose.

as with many of the other reviews here, I love this blanket! Its it super soft on the skin, unllike the others at my other studios. It is pliable so it rolls and folds smoothly without losing any of the support i actually take my 2 with me camping as they are yummy soft warm for me!

Got my mom a "fancy" yoga blanket, and she loves it. I saw her recently using it for some kind of upside-down thing. I don't know what she does with it because I don't do yoga, but she seems to love it and says that it's also very soft and warm.

Great color and durability. Little heavy for transporting to yoga but like the quality of the product. Once in Class and set up, forget the hassle of carrying it there.

These are really nice, soft blankets...although they are big and heavy so if you want yoga blankets to travel with these are not the ones!

This blanket is amazing for restorative yoga! I love it's thickness and color is beautiful.
