Primos Truth Cam EL Ultra Blackout Game Camera with Early Detect Sensor

night vision lacks detail a little blurry when animals are close and solid white figures at night but that may also be how close they are, daytime is exellent! time day and moonphase awesome! blackout awesome cant tell its there! no flash or lights! ! the strap that comes with it is really long i actually am useing it as a rifle sling after adding a pad! I have been setting up the camera all over my backyard so far i have shots of 7 different cats and one possum, trying it out in the yard to get the hang of it fist! its actually fun to use! my daughter thinks the cat pictures are funny! haha!

I've used this for about 2 years to photograph my bird feeders. Night vision and picture quality are great. Easy to set up. Batteries last about 2 weeks when its cold outside. Only complaint is that the motion sensor is a bit slow, I saw a lot of shots of animals leaving the feeder, not approaching it! Overall, a great deal.

This camera has some good features ....and 1 very bad one.The bad - Battery issues.... I tried one of these a year ago & returned it because it went through batteries so fast in comparison to other cameras I figured it must be defective.... I decided to try it again, hoping they fixed the problem, but no it is just as before.The good - This camera has one of the fastest triggers I have ever seen....it really catches everything.Pictures are very good, & video with sound is pretty neat.This camera has an effective cammo pattern already on it, no need to use cammo tape....it is really hard to see once it is on the tree.The no flash blackout feature really works....you cant see a thing & it is very quiet... almost totally silent.The El Ultra is one of these most "user friendly" cams out there....very easy to set up.If it were not for the battery issue, this would be my favorite camera....but it can be very expensive to use going through 8 AA's every 3-7 days.I really wish Primos would address the battery issue because the El Ultra would be a 5 star general if they did, as everything else about it is just great.UPDATE - 8-17-14 - I have found a way around the battery consumption issue, although this might not work for everyone as unless the camera is conveniently located the solution would be an inconvenience....Simply remove one battery in the morning.... then replace it at night.... the camera now is economically viable as battery consumption is now normal/neglible.... 8 AA's should last 3-4 months.

Granted not top of the line game camera. But what it does not have a lot of in megapixels it makes up with taking nice pictures and saves on AA batteries. So far the truth cams, I have 3 of them now, the cameras have taken hundreds of pictures, battery power still shows at 98% usable. My other game cameras need new batteries about once a month to take same amount of pictures or I have had to buy solar chargers for them. No solar power or new batteries so far and temperature has been below zero this winter since Christmas day. I suggest the truth cams to friends and coworkers and a few already have them and like as well.

I thought the quality of the pictures would be better. Other than that it is everything we were looking for.

Great camera takes really clear pictures. I like the fact that there is no flash. The only thing is I wish it would come with an sd card but its nice that you can put up to a 32g sd card in it. My husband and I like it very much.

This camera takes fantastic pics on hi or low resolution! ! Night pics or twilight pics not so much though. Audio with video mode is OK. Unfortunately it sucks batteries (probably from the sheer # of pics though - average 2,000 a week with two pic setting) will last about a month taking that many pics. If you are taking a couple hundred a week, it will last months

Camera Looks Good...really enjoying the whole transaction. We need it to keep a close eye on our large haybarn and storage facility...for two-legged critters! The perk of seeing some of our four-legged neighbors is fun, too!
