Part of a model making project for someone was to mount diecast traffic lights on brass rods for a large model layout. This meant drilling a hole into the metal base for the rods to be inserted and glued. These drill bits were barely able to make an indent into the metal - in fact the original Dremel bits at least made a start, as in photo, but this purchase did nothing at all. Cannot recommend as they evidently cannot cut into metal and are poor compared with standard Dremel bits.

These are great! Different sizes and the small ones are great for sm pieces of sea glass.

Edited to add that the company contacted me, was so very pleasant, and replaced the collet/adapter quickly. I adjusted the review. Customer service is amazing! I originally gave the product a 3 as the little chuck adapter thingy broke almost immediately. I managed a work around but I was a bit put out that I was all ready to work up a pile of things and the adapter thing breaks right away. It took a while to figure out the work around and substantially slowed my day. The drill bits themselves seem to be of good quality for the price.

Ich war auf der Suche nach zuverlässigen Bohrern für Halbedelsteine und bin beim Drilax Diamantbohrer-Set endlich fündig geworden. Die Bohrer liefern erstaunlich gute Ergebnisse, selbst bei sehr harten Steinen, mit denen andere Sets oft Probleme haben. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Auswahl an Größen – so kann ich flexibel unterschiedliche Lochdurchmesser realisieren, ohne ständig neue Bohrer nachkaufen zu müssen. Was einige andere Käufer in ihren Kommentaren schreiben, kann ich allerdings bestätigen: Die Bohrer können schnell brechen – aber nach meiner Erfahrung passiert das wirklich nur bei unsachgemäßer Handhabung. Auf sehr glatten Oberflächen finden sie anfangs kaum Halt, rutschen leicht weg, verkanten sich dann und können dadurch abbrechen. Wenn man jedoch mit wenig Druck arbeitet und die Stelle vorher leicht anrauht oder ankörnt, funktionieren sie zuverlässig. Insgesamt ein gutes Set für präzise Arbeiten an Glas, Schmuck und Steinen, besonders in Kombination mit einem Dremel. Für den Preis absolut empfehlenswert – man muss nur wissen, wie man richtig damit umgeht.
