Works great, good echo doing and volume too. Every thing from slight echo to crazy long echo. Fun to use

Product worked for a couple hours and then quit
I purchased this unit as a gift to my husband for his birthday. He got it set up in the truck and the next day used it for a couple hours in the morning - it broke after that and hasn't worked since. Nobody can hear him on it and he's tried everything he can to get it working again. This is not a reliable product and was a waste of money!

Great Mic for the Price.
I read various reviews both good and bad on this mic. In my opinion this is a solidly built mic and works great. For the price and quality of this purchase I will purchase again when I need another mic.

A few design Problems. I may have solved the squeaking Problem
Overall, a pretty good mic for CB. Other users have complained about squeaking and squealing on the receiving end. Also, the design of he battery compartment is not too good. Very difficult to install the battery and get the cover secure. I held it firmly in place and put some electrical tape on it. It stays in place pretty well and doesn't look too bad. Note: My Radio is an old 1975 Royce 1-601 that I found online is virtually new condition. With these older radios, it's necessary to go into the connector and swap the #1 and #2 connections. Also, the "Talk Back" function will not work on these older radios. For example, if you disconnect your mic and you can still receive audio, Talk back will not work.Update: I may have solved the squeaking problem On the back there are 2 little holes that have controls which are adjusted with a tiny flat-head screwdriver. Near the top is the "VR2" What helps is having another radio nearby so you can hear your transmission. When you turn the VR2 all the way to the left, your mic will be muted. So then just turn it to the right just a couple of microns; when you're able to hear the receiving end. Make sure your Echo Controls are set at Zero. Once you get rid of the squeak, put your Echo knobs on a low setting; like 4 or less. You may have to tweak the VR2 a couple more times.Remember, as I said, my Radio is a 1975 Royce 1-601, so I had to swap the connections as I mentioned. If your radio is like mine (It still produces sound w/o a mic plugged in) the Talk Back Functions will not work. Of course if your radio goes silent w/o a mic, it should work. Thanks for "listening"!!

Same as the old school 2018
Same microphone as the old school 2018,s.This is also the same microphone as the 2018 Xtreme except for a couple extra features that can be added to the dm-1000 with a little couple of circuit mods and 1 or 2 small toggle switches added to the top of the caseing.

Sounds great, but be gentle with it.
The mic has a good audio quality for the price. Getting the mic set to sound the way you want it is sometimes a chore. The echo controls located on the back are easily moved, so keeping your settings are tough. Not really that big of a deal to me as I've used this mic so much that I can reset the knobs without even having to look. As for construction: this thing is frail! The first day I had the mic the white wire inside the mic came loose, the solder to the wire was very weak so I re-soldered all connections in the microphone. Also, the plastic cracked through on the back cover in a perfect circle while tightening the screw after repair. BE VERY GENTLE when turning the rear screw.Overall for the price I got a mic that sounds good on air and is still holding together by the thumb screw on the rear of the mic just fine.Used in conjunction with:COBRA 29 LTD CLASSIC

Tornado ECHO mic
This is a great deal for this mic, its alot better quality than I expected for the price. Much better than the stock mic that came with my cobra ultra cb radio. The adjustable echo and delay sounds make the cheaper cb sound like much more expensive units on the air. I also like the talk back feature that lets you hear yourself when you broadcast, which most cheaper cbs do not have out of the box. Shipping was very fast 2 days, overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Talks well for the money
I bought this Mic, it sounds well on my big radio but I know how to adjust it. I like the reverb ,It is made cheaply and Ive had problems after a week with a short on keying it up. With some modification Ive made it work. But for the money it does sound good...I like it
