The Jayne Mansfield Story

I saw this many years ago on tv. Loved it. So emotionally charged . Would reccomend it to anyone and everyone.

This review is for the German DVD. This looks to be a TV movie, it even includes the Thames TV logo at the introduction and so it is a sanitised version of her life. Arnold Schwartzenegger plays Mickey Hargitay talking to a reporter as the story unfolds. Loni Anderson gives a good performance as the tragic actress, showing how she became the blond bimbo but then failing to break free from the persona she had created. Being a TV movie, the more controversial aspects are glossed over so this is not a warts and all biography, but it does give an insight into the mores and attitudes of the Hollywood movie world.The German DVD is in 1.33: 1 aspect ratio. Language options are English, Spanish and German. The only extra of note is a fitness video by Arnold Schwartzenegger.
