Goya Foods Barley, 16 Ounce

Good price, great product. Just throw into your soups and it plumps up nicely. Barley has good iron and is easy to add to your soups, you don't really notice it's there.

I was doing a bit of research on healthy grains and found that the Quick Cook Barley I've been finding in my local grocery store isnt as nutritious as I had thought. Most of the truly 100% whole grains I found either cost a small fortune for a small amount or they come in 50 pound sacks that make storage tricky. Was really happy to stumble upon this product though, says its 100% whole grain and was definitely affordable. Cooking it's a bit more detailed but the outcome is well worth it.

We make lots of homemade soups that include barley. This Goya product is consistently good every time. Always fresh, has a nice chewy dumpling type of bite, and is the perfect addition to make a simple soup a hearty meal. Delivery was fast and the price was great. What's not to like?

Ok, nobody told me that barley takes all stinking day to cook. I thought it would be like rice or something. That being said, this bag will last me a while. It has a nice hearty texture and adds bulk to soups.
