Good Product for the price
I feel compelled to write this because I returned the 24x36 (4) that I purchased due to severe cracks. The transparent covering looked too fragile, thin and easily crackable. After opening the second pack and it was damaged too, I wanted to return the whole bunch I had purchased. I delayed the return a few days and opened the smaller sizes with fear and apprehention. The first one was okay, so i framed the picture according to the video instructions. It was even easier than I had anticipated from watching the video. I mean it looked real easy in the video, but more easy actually doing it. I then decided to brave the larger sizes. They were okay too. I wondered why the 24x36 and probably bigger ones cracked.? My guess was the way the were packed without good protection as the smaller one pavked in a box and the whole box in another bigger box, whereas the bigger size has an exact-fitting box with 2 frames and two boxes taped together. I returned the bigger damaged frames today and watched the nice UPS guy throw it into the truck clearly marked "FRAGILE" in red all over the box. Now I understand how these items get damaged. Just like baggage handlers ar airports worldwide, "FRAGILE" meand throw the package oor suitcase. I guess I need to return to school and learn my English all over again. So, to the seller, not sure who packed the boxes, but clearly the boxes were very badly packed and the handling did not help as the boxes were damaged probably cracking the plastic. I have decided to buy again what i returned hoping to get them in one piece this time as the frames just made my pictures and posters look excellent. I fully recommend this product for framing everthing you want to frame that is not framed in your house. I misjudged them due to the first two opened looking too fragile. But they are sturdy enough.. One caution...make sure to get the exact size of your photo or poster.. to be safe, maybe add an inch to the edges. I measured the actual photo and left off the white edges. I had to cut my posters to fit since that was my fault and I ordered a lot and didn't want to return.

Great "budget" frames.
Some things to look out for that don't warrant a negative review. If you don't take your time reattaching the edges you can end up with gaps. If you think 10 minutes is too much time to spend getting the best out of your bargain frames then buy something else. These are made entirely of plastic. If you think they should be made of better materials then compare prices with other frames that aren't made of plastic and see if you still think that. Some people are complaining of cracks on the edges and streaks across the front of the frame. I'm pretty sure these people aren't realizing there is a thin, protective film on the front plastic causing this effect that needs to be removed. The attached hanger is also of lower quality. If you use something with more surface area other than the thinnest nail you can find then you will not have a problem. I feel like the negative reviews, unless truly bent, broken or otherwise damaged, are being unfair. A low-end product isn't going to be perfect. If you factor in the cost with the flaws this product deserves no less than 4 stars. I'm giving it 5 stars to offset the people who think you should give 1 star for shipping damage or who didn't take time to get the most out of a budget frame. Have some patience when assembling, remove the film, hang with a thick nail/screw and these frames are a steal at this price.

Hit or miss, bit pricey for their quality
Reading all the reviews it seems to be hit or miss with these frames, so I took my chances and got a great hit. One frame had a small chip in the corner of the plastic covering but that is hidden behind the black edging so no big deal. It was really easy to get the edgings off, put my poster in, and put the edgings back on, less than a minute for each, and it all lined up nicely. I've got eight more posters so I ordered four more sets, hopefully they will all be as good as these. Minus one star for the price though; I think they should only be about $5 per frame if not less. Update: Very happy with these frames again. I ordered four more sets, so eight in one shipment I was worried I would get some damaged, but even though they almost all have a little chip in a corner or two, the chips are small enough to be hidden by the frame edging and so no big deal, nothing distorting the look of the poster. The materials are cheap stuff and so I had no problem modifying them to fit my posters that were slightly smaller than 24x36, like 23 x 35.125. The hardest part was cutting the plastic sheet; it chips very easily. I found that scoring it with a knife then cutting with scissors angled a certain way to make sure the continued crack goes away from center produced an okay edge that is hidden behind the frame edging and so you can't even tell which ones I've modified unless you compare their sizes.

Pay ATTENTION!
Let's be real... can you get these for a better price? Probably not! If you're looking for a frame to put a priceless picture in then you would not be looking at this price. If you're looking for a better way to put up a poster than some tape, this is for you! Yes, it's *plastic frame *plastic "glass looking" *cardboard back The corners aren't that bad IF you pay attention! The black "frame" has a lip longer on one side. That longer part should be on the back of the poster or your corners won't line up (see my pictures). The plastic "glass" has 2 protective covers you need to peel off. If you don't, it will be foggy and will not look like glass. I was most impressed by the shipping to be honest. It was delivered by the nicest man from NJ Shipped with CEVA. They called, emailed, and texted to make sure I was home during the delivery. I thought it was spam so I didn't answer. When I missed the delivery they called, texted and emailed again to reschedule with a time I wanted. We get EVERYTHING delivered from Amazon and this is the best service I've ever seen. One of the frames had a tiny crack but it wasn't visible after I put the frame on it. If it wasn't for the great delivery I may have returned it but again, I'm just putting up a poster (not a wedding picture) so at this price? It's a 5 star I only needed one so I'm using the other one as a cheap dry erase board with some pictures for my kiddos since it's plastic!

Cheaply made, but cheaply priced. They get the job done, mostly.
Meh. They are okay for the really cheap price. I wouldnt get these for any expensive or fancy pictures, the clear plastic is very prone to scratches and came chipped. They are not sturdy and will have some bend. The black frame part doesnt fit too well and are not uniform in their measurements. These are great for maybe a college dorm or cheap bedroom posters but I wouldnt use them for anything more permanent than that. They are very affordable and I think that is their main benefit.

FIVE STAR FOR WHAT THEY ARE
NOT TOO BAD. EASY ASSEMBLY. I'VE READ A LOT OF REVIEWS ABOUT THESE BEING FLIMSY & HARD TO PUT TOGETHER. JUST TAKE TIME FITTING EVERYTHING ON & NO PROBLEM. NOT THE BEST FRAME BUT VERY LIGHTWEIGHT & GOOD ENOUGH TO PRESERVE POSTERS. JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. WELL PACKAGED. THERE WERE A FEW HAIRLINE FRACTURES HERE & THERE BUT NOT NOTICEABLE. MAKES THE POSTERS LOOK MUCH BETTER. I'VE LINED WITH EL WIRE. GETS A LOT OF COMPLEMENTS. *THIS IS AN HONEST REVIEW, I WAS NOT COMPENSATED OR GIVEN DISCOUNT FOR REVIEW *

I Would Skip These
I thought I would save some money by purchasing a 2 pack poster frame for 24×36 inch posters. That turned out to be a mistake. Here's the problem. The frames that hold the posterboard together and your picture or poster inside do not seem to allow for any thickness of the poster or picture. And there is simply no give-and-take. I spent 30 minutes assembling each posterboard after placing my standard picture inside and was never able to put the top on. The frame pieces are simply too thin and tight to actually stretch the 1/16 of an inch or less that your picture of poster would be. I never did get the top piece on either poster board and just decided to leave them off until I do something else at some time. It would have destroyed the picture or poster. It is that tight. I could not slide it on, push it on or anything else. I have used poster boards with frames many times in my life and I've never seen this kind of problem before had they made the poster frames more pliable or pliable at all, this would not be an issue. So here I am 30 minutes later with sweat running down my face trying to put a simple poster frame together. And then on to the next one with 30 minutes and sweat running down my face and still not accomplished, and I'm pretty good at this stuff. The problem is in the design. I realized quite quickly there was simply nothing I could do and if I pushed any harder or tried to slide it across the poster any harder, it would simply tear the poster or picture that you are trying to frame. This started to happen and I simply gave up. To me it made no sense to spend so much money having a couple of pictures I took with a rock celebrity that I blew up to poster size to put on my wall only to be destroyed by a poster frame that doesn't seem to fit back together if you actually put a poster in it. Good way to ruin your wonderful picture. So my advice is to buy a different poster frame. There are cheaper poster frames out there that actually work better. And they have a little bit of give so that they don't crush the entire unit. Both poster frames were like that so I do not think that they were defective. Just designed by an idiot. Bad quality control where they actually forgot to put a poster inside of it to see if it would fit. Their in mind that I was using standard thickness poster paper. 30 minutes an initiative taking me 30 seconds. And that's per poster, and I never did get the last piece on either one, so they have no top. Don't waste your money on these bizarrely nondurable poster frames unless you want to ruin your cherished pictures or posters.

Higher quality than most
These are the frames where you snap on the side rails like you get at a dollar store or wally world, BUT not as flimsy. I was just expecting those cheapos, and to have to wrestle around for a while, but these are higher quality and held my engineer prints from staples PERFECTLY. Not a bit of edges falling away. The cardboard is tougher than the usual thin backing you get with the others. There is a protective film on the plexiglass (or whatever material the fake glass is) and I bought 4 and there was not one scratch, dent, or even lint on them. They have sturdy hangers on the back also. My trick is to place a yard stick horizontally over the hardware when going to hang these so the tab does't keep flopping flush with the wall. Then you just pull the yardstick out once it's hung. Easy peasy. Very lightweight too. I didn't, but you could hang these with a command hook no problem. Oh, they come with a long adhesive strip too.

great, hard to assemble at first but it gets better
difficult to put them together at first because each of the frame edges comes off, then you put your poster under the plastic and put the edges back, one at a time. the difficult part was that the card board was a bit messed up from the ride here so the edge had a hard time going over it, it looks a long time... however the second time i used the same frame after months, it was much easier. and lining up the corners are a talent hah. i have to say that they are easily breakable tho, one of my frames came chipped from the rough handling i guess but thankfully amazon sent me a new set. overall, great for posters, i would say worth the price btw i used command strips to stick it to my wall since i didn't want to nail it in

Perfectly suitable
The frames are made with plastic channels, an acrylic top sheet, and a cardboard backing. This makes them light and inexpensive. (I only mention this so you know what you're getting.) Packaging was very good (see photos), with an overbox, a main box, and supporting foam all around. However, one arrived slightly damaged, and somehow dusty even though it was shrink-wrapped. I expect these happened during manufacturing, rather than shipping. The damage was limited to a couple of chips out of one edge of the top sheet, which were covered up after assembly. It didn't (hardly) affect the final product, but as imperfect goods are - well - imperfect, one star off for the chipped article. The acrylic top sheet is covered with a plastic protective film. If you pull the frames out and see "defects" in the top sheet, it is almost certainly the protective film. As the Brits say, keep calm and carry on. Assembly was quite easy (see the product video at Amazon). The posters were curled from being stored rolled up, and that gave me more trouble than anything. They are not as visually impressive as a wood frame but they are one-tenth the cost. Yes, even with careful assembly, there are slight gaps between the channels at the corners of the frame. If you don't care for that, go spend 10x the cost ($200-$250 per frame) for custom framing, or 3x the cost ($55/frame) at an office supply store for a metal/glass frame. Surprisingly, the sawtooth picture hangers on the back are hinged, rather than being the bend-to-fit type. This is a nice thing to see since having to bend a solid hanger would risk damaging the cardboard backing. Having no glass, they are so light that hanging should be no issue. Their lack of weight could make it harder to ensure a sawtooth hanger is engaged properly, but that's hardly a real problem. You can hang them with a single nail into drywall without any difficulty, if you had to. Overall, these do their intended job. These are cheap but punch above their weight for the value, and work well where it matters. More than suitable for hanging posters and other items that will be viewed from a distance, kids posters, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.
