Not the EX set. Grey plastic not even chrome.Dont waste your money. China knock off and Amazon doesn't have your back. I'm out the money because return shipping is more then the knives.

Love this guy
Love this guy. The only thing I didn't like is that the top part is all plastic. I have not used the knives. I mostly just use it for display on my counter.

awesome design but poor quality
Item is very cheap hollow plastic andKnives are cheap steel. The plastic guy is scuffed and trying to clean him up with a sponge with a rough side ended up scratching it even more! I wish this product was real chrome plated and you could use your own high quality knives with the knife holder but the magnets will only hold the light stock knives. The plastic sleeves on the back are easily removed with pliers but this item is way overpriced for what you get!

Not the greatest quality but I still love it!
I am useless in the kitchen, I was just looking for a knife set so I can slice through some stuff every once in a while and I stumbled on this. Is it the constructed of the best quality? No, the base does have kind of a plastic cheap feel to it, it still looks good from afar. Are the knives good? I wouldn't be able to tell you. They cut. Thats all I know.Overall, I don't care how cheap it is, the design is hilarious. I love looking at it, it makes me smile every morning. I am even thinking of putting a picture of some of my exes on the face. :D So, I guess because I didn't have high expectations of its function, I am thrilled with it based on aesthetics alone.

The knives are nice but.
The knives are nice but...the description led you to believe that the man figure was stainless as well. He was cheap plastic. Not worth the 50.00 extra...

The entire piece is much larger than anticipated, the "man" is not very solid lets say! Overall the idea is great just needs major quality upgrade.

Great art and function in our kitchen. Lots of compliments. Knives work great. Would def buy again. Bought another for a gift too
