Excellent Central Vac Powerhead
We wanted a 2nd powerhead for our 2nd floor. Got this and love it.

Unit was not in working order
Think it was a return because box was open but didn’t want to deal with return . I had identical power head so was able to repair quite easily.

Nutone Central Vacuum Power Brush
I purchased this item (along with a new hose) to replace the 20+ year-old original, and found it to have a much better cleaning action, adjustability, and dual-edge cleaning that the original did not. This item also has bright LED lighting which is very nice. It is also the only reason I didn't give it five stars. There is too much intense stray light from both the white forward-facing LEDs, and the blue height-indicator LEDS, which shine straight up. Both become annoying after a short time. I have masked both with vinyl tape, and give the power vacuum brush a provisional 5-stars.

A big step up over my original model
This is a huge improvement over my 23 year old original model. I was initially pretty bummed that I had to buy a new hose and wand to go with this new beater head. My original equipment was heavy, mostly metal, and still worked. The flex hose at the base of the beater head cracked with age and I could not repair it. Unlike the old equipment, this unit is much lighter weight (particularly the hose). The head brush height is easily adjusted to one of four different settings with a foot switch. The hose (CH515) has a rocker switch built into the handle that not only turns off the beater motor, but also the whole vacuum system. I had wished for that feature since day one 20 some years ago. The brush easily took care of the white cat fur embedded into a dark oriental rug. The fine fur is a really tough test and this unit passed easily. The old stuff was built like a tank and my only concern is how well this mostly plastic unit will fare over the next 20 years.
